I am trying to achieve star seller and I'm being held back because I dis not reply to a customer's message to me after I sent them a coupon and they replied thank you. I don't think that is fair.

Re: Incorrect Data on My Speedy Replies
I'm sorry you didn't realize that you must answer or send to spam any first message from another seller or customer. If you look at your shop manager page you will see exactly what the rules are on this.

Re: Incorrect Data on My Speedy Replies
Did you use the automated coupons, or send them a Message manually?
I saw others speculating that you would need to reply to a buyer who replied to an automated coupon message, but hadn't seen it confirmed yet. Try filing a ticket, as this may be a bug: https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?segment=selling#issue_sell_contact_buyer-contact_select
You can also mark the buyer's message as spam, but then you will need to check the spam folder to see if they actually message you, so it is not a great solution.

Re: Incorrect Data on My Speedy Replies
The rules are clear. All new messages require a response within 24hrs or to be marked as spam. It doesn't matter who they are from or what they are about, no-one reads your messages, the automated system simply compares the time stamps for receipt and response. Create a short snippet to say "thank you" when you get a message you think does not require a response. It just takes 3 clicks to avoid the issue, Snippets/Select/Send.
Messaging is the only criteria that is completely within your control.

Re: Incorrect Data on My Speedy Replies
Should have said "you're welcome". It's the polite thing to do and it's required for Star Seller. Well, not to say "you're welcome" especially but it's required that you say something. Or you could have spammed it and risked po-ing the customer. It looks like you may not have read all the rules for SSB so it might be a good idea to do so, because there are other rules that you don't want to run afoul of. Best to be informed.

Re: Incorrect Data on My Speedy Replies
Ignore the judgment you'll get from some in this thread.
Mark it as spam. If it's not too late, your score should go back up in a day or two.
If you do mark it as spam, keep an eye on your spam folder in case this person reaches out to you again.

Judgement? I see only information.
