Inactive phone - need to change phone number to login and get code

I can no longer get a code to sign in because original phone number is no longer active. How do I add a new phone number and turn off 2 factor authentication?

use one of the 10 emergency codes etsy gave you when you set up 2fa

@DawnDiscovered: Either use one of the back-up codes (which you were offered the chance to download at the time you set up the two factor authorization), or you will need to contact Etsy support to disable it. To allow you to change your phone number or disable the 2FA without logging in would be a massive security hole.

that happened to me too.  contact Etsy open a ticket with an explanation then they will ask you a few questions to verify its you.  then they will help you get into your account.  They did it pretty quick for me and was very helpful.
