Have you tried contacting Etsy by email? Unfortunately, they are the only ones who can help you. Be aware though that the person you connect with may not be an Etsy employee - Etsy has farmed out its customer service.
As far as reasons why this might have happened to you, here are a few reasons I've heard: 1) you have a number of unshipped orders - Etsy's bots don't like that even if you have good reasons. 2) you sell items that are not permitted on Etsy, especially IP, intellectual property, violations, ie using a name, character, logo, etc. of a brand without the brand's license. Items inspired by Harry Potter, Disney, etc. are not allowed here. 3) If you have titles or tags that use items that Etsy doesn't want used, including amber (because Etsy is being sued by a mother whose baby died choking on a bead from an amber bracelet), ivory, and anything from Cuba. 4) Yes, as the last poster mentioned, something about updating taxpayer IDs caused problems with a lot of shops - I'm not sure what that was about but lots of shops had done nothing wrong and got shut down. I'm sure there are other reasons but those are the ones know about. Good luck!!
