Important Information Regarding Incorrect Pricing on Some of Your Etsy Listings

We recently identified an error that may have affected listings with variations for a small group of sellers. We are actively working to resolve this issue and minimise any disruption. Our team has reached out to impacted sellers and we will continue to provide them with updates and guidance.

What you should do if you believe your shop has been impacted:

• Check your messages from Etsy with guidance and next steps.
• Review your listings with variations: Please take some time to carefully review all of your listings that offer variations to ensure the prices displayed to buyers are correct.

Still an ongoing issue, with every renew, which needs addressing asap

I have checked all my listings yesterday and altered affected ones, but any that renewed after a sale today since i checked have again lost their variation prices, one buyer has had £10 extra so far, this is quite a troublesome problem

I have sat here on a Sunday now everything is again checked and altered (would rather be out in the sun!) and currently making them all 1 in number.

Bump...For those experiencing incorrect pricing on Variations.

Since this glitch has started happening recently again, a quick way to check is by looking in Listings Manager and sort by "Expiration: latest first".  To the right side of "# in stock" is where they show your LOWEST-HIGHEST price if you have variations.  If you only see the lowest price without the dash/minus and without the highest price, then this listing was affected.  Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way to fix this unless you do it manually or use Vela to batch edit the variations.  See attached photo here:

that is only part of the problem. I have plenty of listings that appear good with range pricing but if you make any change to the listing, range pricing disappears, the "price" toggle turns off. Now today's new problem is if an item sells, that variation the customer selected is no longer available. EG. Customer bought a birdbath in white, white is no longer avialable. I can make a thousands white birdbaths but not according to Etsy. I cannot switch the toggle making it available, i cannot delete the variation to reenter. Nope I just have to relist the listing and my most popular color for this item is not an option.

Also, when you edit a listing and find that is has the variation price issue, it enters a quantity of "1". I entered a quantity of 6, corrected the prices, and it changed to 1. You have to enter the correct quantity AFTER you correct the variation prices.

correction: color options all together are not an option. One the backend, all colors are checked and available. Front end the customer has no options (even though that is what I am promoting). Expecting Etsy stock to hit mid $30's. Lowest point in 8 years.

What to do for higher price variation sold for minimum price variation. I sell Silver Gold Jewelry. My product have listing variation of Silver and 10K, 14K, and 18K Gold. What to do when 18K Gold Jewelery Sold at a price of Silver. Etsy do not take any responsibility.

I've been manually redoing it for a few hours and still have new issues. I got this response from support about 2 days ago:

Hi, I've taken a look at your concerns. Bulk editing prices can overwrite variant-specific prices and images, causing all variants to show one price and missing images. Please review and manually update your variant prices and images for this listing and others that may be affected.

So do we just lose the money not collected? I only have one listing affected but it's my best seller. Customers paid for a 2 inch decal and are ordering the larger sizes.  I think I have it fixed but this is a big screw up on Etsy's part.

@MountainDaisyDesign other sellers have reported getting refunds. Open a ticket and request compensation.

This is the third time that Etsy has eliminated the pricing differentials for some of my listing variations. I sell fabric, so the price for a full yard is double that of a half yard. Yet Etsy has been offering an ever changing and random assortment of my products at the same price, resulting in an unauthorized 50% discount. I received a convo from Etsy about this once and have had to manually check all 200+ listings three different times in the past two weeks. I can't make a living by selling my products at less than cost. This is NOT acceptable, and Etsy as a platform needs to address this ongoing challenge immediately~!

I have noticed one of my listings has been affected and i have 6 orders all charged the lower price dispite choosing the more expensive options. I never got an email to let me know this was a risk. so now i'm out of pocket for these orders, and currently have made a loss! Did anyone have any luck in getting their money back from Etsy?
