@WisdomInteriors Just a guess but have you tried clearing your cache?
Hiya!
How do I find the option to clear my cache?
I've just cleared the cache, no difference unfortunately!
You could try restarting your computer, then try again. Make sure you enter the email correctly.
You asked how to clear cache/cookies. I don't know what device, browser, etc. you are using, or if you're using the app, which I've never used (I always use the same desktop computer, Chrome, Windows 10).
When I clear cache/cookies there are a couple ways (I do the following one):
- At the top left corner in Chrome, I see a blue icon for Settings, followed by "Clear Browsing Data". I select this after I Sign Out of Etsy.
The Chrome Page pops up (cache/cookies are cleared). It also has a Setting (can't view it right now), which says something about checking for bad extensions (don't quote me on that verbiage). I select this. Shortly after, It will say "Chrome is up to date". (If Chrome has an update at this point, the wheel spins a bit, then it says "Relaunch" (blue tab). I select it & close browser.
You can do the same in the following manner (in Chrome): Upper Right corner, there are 3 dots. Select them, then "Settings".
Also, my Windows frequently scans for viruses by itself (it notifies me). If there is a Windows Update, I see it when I shut off computer for the night (or during the day). *Bottom Left of browser, there is an Orange Dot. I can select "Update/Restart" or "Update/Shut Down'.
I am not a techie person (often obvious). But I really hope this is helpful to you. Good Luck!
(Some of this may be similar to what your device, browser, etc. does).
Thanks so much for the help, I'll give this a go!
@WisdomInteriors
My pleasure. Really hope it works for your situation. I've been having oddities myself (not like yours but frustrating enough, as I haven't been around much, personal). I do try to keep abreast when I can. But it's always on the same device.
Did clearing cache work? I have this issue too? The issue is not solved and the solution by Etsy was to remove your email that you accidentally shared. What is the actual solution to this issue?
Seems Etsy has no interest in answering/solving this. I also cannot change my email to a custom domain (registered domain and email just for this shop). There also does not seem to be a way to contact anyone, just an FAQ loop. Not a good look Etsy.
Hello!
Prior to posting in a thread in the Forums, we ask that you please check if you are not bumping an old thread that hasn't seen any activity in a few months (or years, even). If that is the case, and you still would like to share your thoughts and get the conversation going - whether about this or similar topics, we ask that you start your own thread instead of bumping an old one.
Please note that reviving old threads can cause confusion for members reading, so always check the dates of the most recent replies before posting. You can find this information on the top-left corner of each message, right below the member's username and profile picture.
Having said that, we are closing this thread as it is indeed a bit older, and the information contained here may be outdated.
Thank you!
