I've Just Discovered my Etsy Shop has been in Holiday Mode for some months

I have no idea why this has happened, and cannot seem to find ANY way of contacting Etsy directly to ask my question and have the Holiday Mode lifted.

I'm so upset that my shop has inadvertently been on hold for so long.  Goodness knows what damage this has done to my brand and product sales!

Have you never logged in all this time with an active shop? I am just surprised it took this long to figure out.

Check to make sure your fees are paid and up to date, and that your payment method on file for fees is accurate.

Check you have not been asked for some identification or to verify your bank account -- there should be a notice on your dashboard if this is required

@Marmalady I've looked everywhere I can think and can't find any correspondence or notifications relating to the Holiday Mode.

@dSquaredGlassArt   You can try contacting chat support through the Help Center in the forums or through your shop manager dashboard. Did you try looking through your Finance section in your Shop Manager dashboard or check to see if Etsy emailed you?

@SugarTaffySoap  I checked everywhere and cannot find anything to indicate why the Holiday Mode was activated.  I also can't find a means to contact a Etsy as the links just keep cycling me around the FAQs and answers pages in Help Centre.

Be clear & concise with your issue.

edited to add:

check your Payment Settings under Finance. - you may need to update credit card info

check your Legal and Tax Information settings under Finance, etsy may need you to add or update info.

Re: I've Just Discovered my Etsy Shop has been in Holiday Mode for some months

Since you are outside the USA, are you aware that a new law was implemented in the USA requiring certain documents if you are to sell in the USA? Did Etsy request those documents from you and if so did you provide them and were they verified? Do you have either an EIN or SS number that was provided to Etsy? If you have not met the legal requirements for selling in the USA, that may be why this happened. You can read about the law at the link below.

The OP is well below the sales threshold for this to apply.

@CatsWhiskersCurios  Good point! I didn't take a look at the OP's shop so it doesn't look as if they have been in business here long enough, even if they meet the sales threshold.

@dSquaredGlassArt FYI, here is the threshold for this act: The rules apply to sellers that had 200 or more separate sales or transactions and $5,000 or more in gross revenue in any continuous 12-month period during the past 24 months, according to the FTC. The disclosure requirements are steeper for sellers that have annual gross revenues of $20,000 or more on a particular marketplace.

@dSquaredGlassArt   Most sellers don't know why their shop is placed on holiday mode. It could be an error performed by their automated system. We don't know.  But if you did receive notice it would be in your email that you provided to Etsy. Unfortunately, you'll have to figure out on your own why this happened and read what sellers have mentioned here. We can only offer suggestions.

Here is Etsy House Rules that may help.

Re: I've Just Discovered my Etsy Shop has been in Holiday Mode for some months

Thanks to those who posted non-judgmental, helpful feedback.  It turns out the issue was not listed on my Dashboard at all.  It was actually to do with one of the ID verification changes that also had not come through on email.

I'm on the path to getting things resolved.

To those who posted judgemental comments about how long my shop had been on holiday, or me not checking regularly - you have no idea about the circumstances of my life, our anyone elses.  So I encourage you to stop, think, and if you are going to be anything - think about being kind.  It's far more appealing than being judgemental.
