I receive 5-star reviews, but Star Seller rating status remains the same !

Jump to solution

I've already received 4 reviews (5-star, all of them) this month, but my 5-star rating status still remains 92%. They say it may take up to 24 hours to update but it's the 20th of May today and still no change! That's why I don't get the Star Seller badge! Very unfair! Can anyone please check what's wrong?

Because you got a 4* review April 9th so that brought your % points down because Etsy doesn't count 4* or less.

So to qualify for the star seller in June, the ratings you got from March/April/May will be used (same time frame for other metrics).

From the HELP pages:
In the
5-star ratings section, you can see the percentage of your shop’s reviews that received 5 stars over a period of time. The goal is for 95%+ of orders to have 5-star ratings, which will earn you the Rave reviews customer service badge.

Your 5-star rating percentage is calculated by dividing the number of reviews that have 5 stars by the total number of ratings that you've received during the calculation period. Other reviews (like those with 4 stars) are not considered. We aren’t looking at an average of all ratings, only the percentage of ratings that have 5 stars.

The review period is for 3 months. You received a 4 star in April.

It works on a percentage. You'd have to look at your reviews for the 3 months it's calculating now to see where you should be. It's calculating March, April and May. For the number of reviews I typically get, it takes around 6 5 star reviews to make up for a 4 star or less review. Each person will be different depending on how many reviews you get. I was at 95% (barely made it this time due to a 4 star and a glowing 2 star) and it's taken 5 5 star reviews to get me to 96%. It usually updates within 24 hours if there's a change.

You won't be eligible again until June 1 in any event. Stars are only calculated once a month. Stars aren't awarded on an on-going basis.
