I put shop in Holiday Mode - Shop Reopened

So new one on me.   Put my shop on holiday mode on the 27th August as am away travelling until October.   Woke up this morning to an order which I have had to cancel.  Holiday announcement had also been changed to a generic I am fulfilling current orders!!

Put it back on holiday mode and have taken screenshots in case it happens again.

Am offline / out of signal most of the time at the moment so reporting is pretty pointless when it might be days before am online again.

Has this hapenned to anyone else this week?

I kindly suggest adjusting your shipping profiles to the time you’re coming back,leave an announcement that your shop is in Holiday Mode,and shipping will resume in (your given date),refund your orders(keep checking time to time) and message the few customers that placed an order during your holiday time,and that’s it.It might seem like a bit of bother,but trust me it is worth it!Don’t put your shop in Holiday Mode please,it is a mistake many people do,however is not entirely good for your business.And why is that is because Etsy will rank you lower in find/search.Then you’ll have to work extra hard to get your current ranking back.I am sure many experienced Etsy sellers would agree with me.Hope this was of help,if not now,in the long run!Wishing you a wonderful holiday and a great business!!

I find when I put on vacation mode for a few days, once I turn off vacation mode, everything goes back to normal within a few hours.
