I have a buyer who keeps purchasing my more expensive jewelry, then immediately sends a message where they have asked for a refund, and then another message right after claiming to want to add different items. A few hours later, the sale is removed froM “orders” and Etsy gives a refund. Then repeat. Over and over.
I just want to block the user. I’ve already lost one necklace and I’m sure this is some kind of scam, but Etsy has no way to talk to a person.
Any help you can give me a call d appreciated. I’ve had to put my shop in vacation mode to make it stop.
This same exact thing is happening to me. In the last 7 days, I've had 4 orders from the same listing where the buyer orders and then waits until it's delivered and then starts a help request claiming not to have received it to be refunded by Etsy (using Etsy's buyer protection). I've tried to research what this scam might be, but I think they're either trying to get free Etsy credit and/or using the UPS codes from their orders for something they're supposedly selling to customers elsewhere. I took the listing they were using down, which sucks, because it was a popular product. After the 2nd one, I started to get suspicious. After the 3rd one, I knew something was up. I just received another one at about 3am this morning (making it 4 in 7 days). I've tried to reach out to Etsy and hope to hear back. But if anyone is getting unusual non-delivery claims for the same listing (different customer names/addresses) over and over, this may be what's happening.
