I have a sale going but a customer wants a custom listing. I've noticed in the past when I send a custom listing the sale I have going automatically applies the sale amount. Is there a way I can send a custom listing without my current sale being applied or do I have to do the math and find a price that applies the sale but ends up at the custom price I want? Or do I just turn off my sale off, send the listing and turn the sale back on when they buy?
If your sale is applied to all listings when you first set it up, it will apply to any additional listings, custom or not, that you create. This is why I select specific listings when creating a sale, that way, the custom listings I create from a message arent included in the sale.
Not sure, but if they make an offer they can’t apply any other sales or coupons.
I have a set price for the custome item I want to charge, without the sale being applied
Not sure. I just know that if they make an offer the sale or coupon doesn’t get applied. Sorry
self removed due to stupid forum glitch
This should work: publish the item and then quickly edit your sale to remove that item.
Or... stop the sale, put the item in a custom section in your shop, create a new sale and instead of adding all items, add the sections only, and not the custom section.
Make it a regular listing, not a private listing, because as soon a you hit publish, your buyer will see that listing with the sale attached.
Stupid private listings!!!
