I’m not getting views even with ads on

I went from having over 100 views a day two weeks ago to nothing. I turned my ads back on and still nothing. I have been consistently sharing in all my social media platforms and still nothing. What could be the issue.

Your shop is indexed so it's not a technical problem.

For one thing, you haven't completed setting up your shop policies and a privacy statement. That can hurt you in search. You also have only a few items listed. Search engines like to send buyers to shops that have more choices available. I suggest you complete your shop policies and try to add at least 30 items. Maybe look at making something that is not so time consuming. Like a change purse or eye glass holder (simple one). That might make it easier to get more items up.

I don't trust Etsy stats currently. I have items that show as favorited by several people but show no views. How does that happen? Stats have been all over the place and there's obvious issues. I asked Etsy and got the usual "it's a known issue, we're working on it". That's means they have no idea and/or no intention of doing anything about it anytime soon.

You can favorite a listing on the search page without actually visiting the listing.

They have to be viewing it or at least the page to do that, don't they? Same issue with shop views. No views showing for the entire shop when I have favs and sales? That doesn't make sense.

@ReJeanerationBags: With Etsy's ever changing search 'black box' it is almost impossible to say what is going on. Many many shops are reporting plummeting views and visits from organic search - while there is probably a site wide decrease in both, the distribution seems to have changed markedly recently. After all, Etsy is trying to guess what you will actually buy regardless of what you searched for.

As to ads, FIRST your listing must meet the search requirements to rank high enough to be considered for an ad slot. Then, and only then, Etsy will "auction" off the available ad slots to those qualifying listings that they think will generate the most revenue for them. Ads do not seem to help in search ranking, only possibly in visibility if the listing ranked high enough.

Even if your titles and tags are perfect, the results that search now returns may very well mean that your listings will be shown as ads but are they being shown to the right people?

Cute bags!  They look well made.  I think buyers naturally leave when there is so few items to look at.  Keep adding more inventory.  Can you add other styles?  Fanny packs, cross body smaller bags, minimalist phone / cc holders?  JMO smaller bags are more searched for at this time. Also if your bags are lined make sure to show that too.  Good Luck!
