I have not received any money from etsy for almost half a year. I'm desperate and etsy's team dodged to solve my problem.
It's been 1 year since I got my first order. And I only received the money once.
But then with the bank information I received the money, I no longer receive the money. I assumed there was a problem with the bank, and I had to create 4 to 5 different bank accounts to receive money from etsy but it didn't work.
I am sure my banking information is correct. I have consulted how to update information from my friends and also from the bank.
My balance has grown to over $2500. It made my life extremely difficult. Just went through covid and I'm in dire need of money, I sent my item to my customer and now I can't receive my money.
I sent etsy 10 to 20 support requests. But they just solved it by returning the money to my etsy account and asking me to update my bank info. Then the error happened again.
I'm sure etsy's system error. I have requested proof of money transfer so that I can contact the bank to find out the cause. But etsy always dodges my request. They ignored and closed my request. I am really sad and disappointed. Everyone who has supported me promised to solve my problem but in the end they all dodged by asking me to update information and wait. No one really did anything to support me. Can I appeal this to any organization? I don't think a company as big as this would behave like this with its salespeople.
Singapore sellers have been having this issue too. Maybe one of them will update you as to what is happening with them. I think they got it resolved as I haven't seen anyone post about it for a few weeks. Your work is beautiful. I hope this gets resolved for you
My problem is not a normal one. It keeps crashing dozens of times during the past 1 year. But they don't solve it for me. I can't get my money
Thank you for your praise. Wishing you all good things. I think contacting etsy support is hopeless. Do you know where etsy's recommendation to higher level is?
can you tell them to transfer it to a paypal account or something?
@DanuKraftHouse , Have you checked to see if the card you have on file hasn't expired? Is all your bank info correct? Your bank info and etsy info have to exactly match. Why are you still selling here if you aren't receiving your money?
So you're saying it's my fault not receiving the money, my fault is selling at etsy??? I am not a new salesman at etsy. I know how accurate the information is. I don't think it's possible to that extent. Etsy is a large e-commerce platform. I just thought it could simply be a bit slow. But this is beyond my imagination.
Don't keep starting new etsy support tickets. Stick with one and double check your emails, when they send an email saying they've solved it, respond with "Issue is not solved."
They don't reply anymore and close the request. I'm on support 1 and it's been a week and still haven't received a new response. I will try your way. do you know how i can contact higher level of etsy?
Here is the article about your finance. https://www.etsy.com/seller-handbook/article/7-ways-to-streamline-your-shop-finances/643588767612
Yes, if you do not have a current and correct credit card Etsy will with hold funds until a valid CC is on file, so be sure to check that off the list as being accurate. Some of use know since our CC on file might expire and forget to update the information (typically the expiration date and the security code) when the new CC card is received. If we forget Etsy will not process deposit until it is updated.
I would like to inform you that the money has been transferred to my account. But somehow it keeps crashing and bouncing.
I do not understand the crash and bounce. If the bank is receiving the electronic deposit notification but is not actually depositing into your account then its a bank error or the bank is rejecting it thus ending the communication before it completed. Of the 4 to 5 bank accounts how many of them were of the same bank? Is it or them a small bank or a large that might handle more international accounts / wire transfers?
If the money is going from your account, and then is put back, you bank is sending back to etsy, for whatever reason,
You need to find out why - talk to your bank - that's the only way you will find the problem,
Just trying to help you think of possible cause and solution. If bank account(s) went through the verification process but deposit processing via a wire transfer is failing and then if you are using the same bank with just opening various bank accounts, go to a different bank... Before opening an account with them be sure they can handle international wire transfers coming for the USA. Since your country is outside the United States and under a different currency your bank verification is different, here in the USA Etsy would deposit some funds under $2 USD... which signals the wire transfer communication is good to go.
Most of the time when I see posts of money not received by the seller it is a problem with the bank not accepting foreign transfers. Talk to your bank again to make sure they accept foreign transfers.
And yes, if the money leaves Etsy and then comes back it is always a bank problem. Good luck
I just googled it and it looks like Vietnam banks have a strict policy on foreign transfers. Even to receive money not just going out. If money is coming in they need proof of taxes paid and they also charge for incoming transfers.
You need to definitely escalate the help request with your bank and not Etsy.
I used to receive money from etsy exactly once with the same account and then no more. I have contacted the bank and my account is completely normal. I also asked etsy to provide transaction documents so that I can compare with the error bank, but it was not provided.
International laws have changed, things that used to be OK, are no longer OK, which is why etsy is doing the extra verifications.
EVERYTHING has to match EXACTLY
so John Smith, has to be John Smith, everywhere,
For example, it can no longer be John Smith, on one thing, and Mr. John Smith on another
Then if you open a help request to Etsy to provide documents just do it once and keep replying to the same email if you have multiples open they will be closed. Also on your desktop log into the finance tab and assure that all information provided matches your bank account exactly. Just one dot or initial that’s off can prevent the transfer. And your credit card on file can’t be expired even if it has nothing to do with your bank. Either delete completely or update with a new one.
