Hello,
I have had even more listing removed today because they have been copied on Ali Express.
This shop is how I support myself financially. Please help I can't keep losing sales like this.
I've attempted to file copyright notices without any luck. What else can I do?
Did you specifically file DMCA takedown notices with AliExpress?
I have tried to do this. But so far nothing has been taken down
Not sure what you mean by you tried to do it
with aliexpress, you have to create an account then correctly follow their DCMA procedure, not just contact them
It won't let me verify my details keeps going back to blank
You have great photos. It also looks like you are using commonly available components so your designs are easy to copy. This is a problem I face too.
I've had luck getting listings taken down on AliExpress in the past. I don't know whether they've changed the process now though as I haven't submitted a DMCA for a while. I have a few on my to do list so I guess I'll find out.
Google 'AliExpress IPP' for a guide.
The only other advice I can give you is make sure you have other sources of income. Don't rely on one selling platform.
Yeah that's great advice. However this is where I find myself currently
Has any one got a link to the platform?
@RebelJewelleryShop try this one. All the others seem to redirect to the Chinese page.
Everytime I try and verify my details it keeps resetting. This is tough because etsy it now threatening to suspend my account. Over 10,000 sales
try a different browser
I have the same problem. I have many products on aliexpress and I received a warning. How can I find a solution? Everyone is selling my products and they are buying from me.
Getting threats about my shop being suspended is so stressful.
My only option is to delete all my best selling listings that have been copied. seems really unfair.
You may need help from an IP lawyer if you are struggling with the takedown form, but try another browser and also contacting AliExpress first for help.
Even if the AliExpress issue can't be resolved, I would still eventually appeal with proof you took the images and proof of you making the item.
(I am currently going through this myself, with no current items for sale using my photos anywhere other than my website, but apparently Alibaba briefly had one photo up. I can't file a takedown as it has already been removed. Fortunately, I managed to find the uncropped & unretouched photos in my files from over a decade ago, which I expect should help. I will also take a video of me with the packaged supplies and the distinctive rock I used in one photo, and I will make one to show Etsy I do this. I will also submit proof of the supply purchases.)
It's great you found that photo!
Unfortunately I only kept my edited photos and deleted the originals.
I have sent another request to Etsy asking for things to be reviewed.
It seems like a no win situation right now. Ali Express make it so difficult to file IPR claims.
Etsy need to get a better system than a reverse image search bot.
Not to mention the literally thousands of pounds I have paid Etsy in fees..
Really, this is the saddest thing ever that THIS is how the current incarnation of Etsy chooses to clean up the mess they have made of this site.
It's like they cannot stop digging their own grave.
Keeping commerce human my ass.
So I am trying to file a claim with Alibaba reporting system.
It's asking me for an IPR document. Any idea on what this is or how to get one?
Thanks again
alibaba defaults to reporting IP
did you change it to copyright?
