I am so often asked for my email address. Only it hasn't brought a sale yet.
Is there any experience in this regard from you?
This is a SCAM. There are lots of posts about it.
If you give them your email (don't), you then magically get a FAKE etsy that looks like it's from etsy, asking for your banking information.
They are trying to trick you, and rely on new (often international) shops to not know better.
Mark the message as spam and forget about it!!!
@Modaemotiona Are you being asked for your email from your Messages? If not, where?
Never give out your email or any other personal info. It's a scam.

Be sure to mark the message as SPAM so that it does not affect your stats.
if you are getting 'asked a lot' then you are getting a lot of potential scammers. They go for the newest shops as they know that new shops really want to make sales and may not be savvy about how it works here.
I'm very sorry you are being targeted by these scammers. And glad you came here to inquire. They've been hitting new Sellers as well as seasoned ones. Never engage with them or click into any links. Their sole purpose is to rip you off. Always Mark the Message as Spam (so you don't get dinged for Star Seller).
