I don't sell to France but they still want (EPR) registration number

Dear Support Team,

I now understand, that vacation mode was put on my shop because you want a (EPR) registration number for France, even though the error message says I should upload government-issued business verification document, that was already VERIFIED.

But I don't have this number. So I deleted France and EU from all my shipping profiles. 

But the system did not update the settings and still wants a (EPR) registration number for France that I do not have.

The email from the special Team was with "noreply" address, so I cannot ask them.

The problems with Etsy to even start a business seem endless.

You can not reach Etsy via the forum. You will have to go through the help section in your dashboard.

Click on the subject matter, scroll to the bottom where it says "I still need help" click on this and it will give you a live chat option or email

I tried to contact Etsy via email for several weeks and the only respond was a KI Bot email that did not read my message but spamed the same text over and over again.

So I asked for help in this forum and a moderator forwarded my problem to a special team. That is why I am writing in the forum. This is the ONLY place I got help from Etsy

You need to keep replying to the same irrelevant automated replies with "I Still need help" eventually a actual real person will answer

There is a space for EPR, but no-one has to enter it

your shop location says USA

your seller details say you are in Germany, with a business registration number of 98-2021-BD

you don't have paypal, as a payment option, most new Germany shops don't.

You can't remove all of the EU from where you sell, as you are in Germany, if you ship from Germany, you have to sell to Germany

As mentioned above I deleted  EU from shipping profiles. And I am not sending products from Germany or EU but only from US.

your shop location says USA, your business information says germany

you have problems with your shop setup

have you entered your IdNr, or your ssn

somewhere you have confused your location/ID/country/business

@CraftCultandCoffee   So you created this shop to post from or is your shop CraftCultandCoffeexx? What exactly are you trying to do?  The XX shop says Germany so you need to ship inside Germany.  You can remove the rest of the EU.

However if you are residing in Germany, you cannot have a shop location for Miami Florida.  You can use a POD in Florida but the location still has to be where you are.  And since the payments does not have PayPal I would think that would mean you are not located in the US.

So I will color myself bewildered.

Try clearing cache and cookies to see if that helps.

You may be sending products from the the United States, but are you based in the EU? If you are based in the EU, you can not exclude the country you reside in.

It has changed.

The locked country is now the country you ship from.

Your shop country is automatically added as a separate line but can be deleted.

Try it in a new shipping profile.

No I do not. My documents got verified. My ONLY problem is, that they want me to put in a EPR for France, that I do not need and do not have.

The EU is not a country. I am not located in France but in Germany. And the informations from Germany got all verified.

I am very well aware that the EU is not a country 

But that does not change the fact that you have set your location as the United States but are based in the EU, Germany!

This is what is affecting your account. It does not matter if you are based in Germany, The Netherlands or France for that matter, it is the EU and falls under EU law.

You have your location of your shop set as Florida. You are not based in Florida, you are based in Germany

It is somehow screwing up your settings, this happens when information clashes

I dont now why you are keeping talking about location, when I have problems with the (EPR) registration number for France. Etsy is totally fine with my location.

(EPR) registration number for France is a registration number for packaging used in france. I am not located in France, and I do not ship to france. So I do not need a France EPR and I do not have one (that would cost money).

Etsy does NOT require you to fill in the EPR registration

It has the French one, and Germany one there for everyone, and we can choose to complete it or not - I don't

It doesn't require anyone to - even if you are in France

The field is on the legal and tax information page, but you do NOT have to complete it

There is something else on that page, that is causing you problems

as you seem confused about your shop location of USA vs Germany, it's the main one that stands out

The error messages says:

"Verify your business information to sell on Etsy We had trouble verifying the info you provided. Upload a copy of government-issued business verification document to submit your details for review." GET STARTET

The GET Started Button brings me down to the France EPR registration. 

Everything else is marked GREEN as VERIFIED on this page.

somewhere, something is not matching exactly - maybe your country, maybe not, but they do not verify, or even need, an EPR

This must be immensely frustrating and I don’t want to add to it, but are you sure the EPR  number Etsy are asking for is for France and not Germany? Have you filled in your EPR number for Germany? As you are based there, you can’t exclude it as a country

Yes I took in the german EPR when filling out the etsy business form even though I do not ship To Germany and do not ship FROM Germany.

The location that shows on your shop is Miami, Florida USA.

Something doesn't make sense. 

If you're in the USA you can exclude all of EU or specific countries within the EU.

If you're in Germany (then your shop location is incorrect and your documents won't match), you'll have to exclude specific countries within the EU in your shipping profiles.

No the shop location is correct. It is part of my german business but not located in germany. I do not ship from germany or the EU and I do not ship to Germany or the EU.
