Hello tech team ! Here's the bug :
I'm a French seller. Today after I have listed an item above 150 euros, I can't access to the listing itself, whether I am logged or not. I get a message "unavailable in your area".
I can still access my other items above this price, listed before today.
As a French, I am still allowed to buy from a French or European online shop, without this limit.
Thank you for looking into this !

Betreff: I can't access my own listing, wrong message "unavailable in your area"
Aus Deutschland:
Ich kann das Listing sehen und anklicken und kann auch auf "in den Warenkorb" klicken. Im Warenkorb wird angezeigt "Dieser Artikel wird nicht nach Deutschland verschickt"

But under Etsy rules, you are not allowed to buy from your own shops. It is considered market manipulation.

@BootifulLabels hello, well thank you for the reminder of Etsy's rules, but what made you think I was trying to buy from my own shop ?

Re: I can't access my own listing, wrong message "unavailable in your area"
My apologies if your intent was possibly lost in translation, my French is not that good.
I saw your title "I can't access my own listing" and the comment in italics in my previous message. Together it sounded like you were trying to buy from your own shop.

@BootifulLabels
Most of the posts are in English actually.
In a nutshell, no one in France can see the OP's listing. Something happened yesterday that caused the problem.

Re: I can't access my own listing, wrong message "unavailable in your area"
You know I actually read the original post twice thinking maybe I was wrong and the OP posted in French. Sometimes I read French but remember it in English.
But it's in English.
So I'm confused!
Is there something else going on with the forums?

Bonjour.

Re: I can't access my own listing, wrong message "unavailable in your area"
If you are in your main shop page, scroll down to the bottom left
If the country is France, change it to another country,
also, if you have a default ships-to address of France, you need to change that default address, to another country and save
you can check this by going to another shop, adding something to your cart, go to checkout, and change the default address there

Re: I can't access my own listing, wrong message "unavailable in your area"
@CraftyCornishMaids
Those of us in France should be able to see items over 150€ even if our ship to address is set for France. There should be no need to jump through hoops. But even so, even if they did something stupid, as those of us in France have stated, we can still see over 150€ listings published prior to 27 March. So whatever is going on is applying to NEW LISTINGS only. So Etsy changed something. I think those of us in France would like to know if it's a bug or intended.
ETA: I tried the suggested workaround - didn't work.

@LePourquoiDuComment @CraftyCornishMaids
the poster in Germany said she could add it to her basket but that it could NOT be sent to Germany (wird nicht nach Deutschland geschickt)
So it seems it is not just French buyers who have problems with that listing

Re: I can't access my own listing, wrong message "unavailable in your area"
@BootifulLabels , I can be very awkward in English. When I list a new item, which I describe in English, I like to see how the listing looks for visitors, and I use the French translation to check I haven't written any sentence that's totally incomprehensible. If I can understand the description in the French translation, then I did a good job in English : )

Re: I can't access my own listing, wrong message "unavailable in your area"
@CraftyCornishMaids @LePourquoiDuComment
I tried what was recommended -- added a US default address to my Etsy account, changed my region to US as well and double checked that the ship to was set for US by accessing an under 150€ first. Still could not see the NEW listing that the OP created yesterday. I'm not ready to clear my cookies to see if that works so I'll leave the testing there. Fact is we should be able to see all listings in France or the EU when based in France as there's no law prohibiting sales of items over 150€ to buyers in France and EU. And as I mentioned already in a previous post to Crafty, we can all see 150€ listings made prior to yesterday.
I will likely be creating an over 150€ today or tomorrow so will report back with what happens!

Re: I can't access my own listing, wrong message "unavailable in your area"
@LeLightFantastique yes, I do not ship to Germany, so this is why. Sorry I was packing so I couldn't follow closely ! I believe it is a 100 % problem linked to being in France.

I have sent a mail to Etsy tech support team, we'll see.
Thank you also @Spellbinderie for creating your own item.
I'm surprised no one else has yet reported having the same problem since yesterday...

Re: I can't access my own listing, wrong message "unavailable in your area"
@LePourquoiDuComment
I just listed something at 200€ and I can view it so I think there's something buggy on your end specifically. Or maybe the issue is not related to the price but some other restriction???
For info, my listing is completely new, I did not copy an old listing.
It's here if you want to check and see if you see it: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1690361260

Re: I can't access my own listing, wrong message "unavailable in your area"
@Spellbinderie thank you so much for this !
Apparently, Etsy can't help.
First girl told me "everyone can see it but people in France, so all is ok"
I wrote again ...
Second girl then advised me to look in the policies of items that can be sold on Etsy to understand why my listing has been removed (which it has not been).
... I think I will relist my pot !

Re: I can't access my own listing, wrong message "unavailable in your area"
Yes getting support to understand issues often makes it not worth contacting support at all. Time is money after all and frequently fellow sellers are more helpful and knowledgable than the support staff!

Re: I can't access my own listing, wrong message "unavailable in your area"
I did a completely brand new listing, which I have access to ...
I'm happy it did not affect other shops.
Thanks everyone : )
