I can not follow anyone who favorites an Item in My Shop.

There is still a follow link on the top right corner of their page so you can follow them.

What is gone is the ability to contact them, if that's what you are looking for.

Etsy removed the "Conact" function because this was one of the ways "scammers" were targetting new Shops with "scam" messages.

If the person who "Favourited" your Shop or Listimg has a Pubpic Profile you can click on the "Name" and on the page which opens there is a "Follow" button at the top / right

Just a reminder that it is a voilaion o Etsy TOUs to "Contact" a potential Buyer with Offers / Promotional material which is unsolicited.

I have cliced on the Name and the Follow Button at the top/right does not work.  I have tried to contact Etsy support to have this problem corrected but Etsy makes it very hard for people who sell on Etsy to contact them for support.  I have my shop open for over 8 years and I am a Star Seller.  I have been a Star Seller for a long time but there should be an easier way to contact support.  Thank you.

If that is the case then you have, probsbly, reached the maximum number of shops you can "Follow" I think it is around 1000

Why do you want to follow them? Just curious. Following people doesn't really do anything.

A lot of time, when a person first contacts me and I check that I am following them, they will order later.  I have been selling on Etsy for over 8 years but before I started selling on Etsy, I owned a company for 28 years but sold that company about 14 years ago.  Before I started this company, I was with a large company and I was in Sales and Marketing.  My grandmother was a collector of glass and I started my collection over 50 years ago.  This month I will be 78 years old and most all profit is donated to different charities.  I do not advertise this on my shop because I consider this a private thing to do.  Thank you for your Interest.  Caroline and Lilly Bee Glassware  P.S.  I have a degree in Business, so I do have knowledge on how to run a business or run a company plus to make a business or company profitable.

Awesome! I have an MBA and a degree in special education. Following on Etsy is just like watching they favorite. It does not allow you to contact them. It's not like being friends or them asking for any additional contact. Apparently, I have 219 random people following me. I have never looked. If I plan to buy it, I buy it- maybe today, maybe in a year.  I guess if it works for you, then yay!

May I ask why you need this function? 

If someone favorites an item in your shop, why would you need to follow them? You can't contact "potential customers" anyway, and Etsy is not a social media platform.

(Your personal favorite items are private, by the way.)

Sometimes the person will purchase the item.  I am not interested in Social Media because I have too many friends now to keep up with but I do know how to sell items.  My degree is in business but selling on Etsy is just more like a Hobby, etc.  Hope this answers your question.  Oh yes, my personal favorites are private and that is the way they will always be.

Sorry, I don't see the correlation between following someone and their purchasing.  Following just shows you what they fave.  I find it a little creepy especially since your faves are private.

Are you saying you "follow" everyone who favorites your items or shop because, when you do, it sometimes turns into a sale? Curious as to how  you'd know that's what generated the sale.

You can only follow a certain amount of people, at 1065 I think you've hit the limit.

Following was started so you could see what people with similar tastes added to their favourites, I'm not sure if that still shows in activity feeds or not, I've never bothered using it.
