I am the buyer trying to buy from a shop and Etsy says they cannot verify my card

Hey folks. I am trying to buy from a shop and Etsy declines my card for not being able to verify it.

So....there is nothing wrong with my card and of course Etsy help is an hour wait by live chat.

Is this an on-going issue?

I am willing to walk away from a buy because of an Etsy glitch but you know...one artist trying to support another here.

Etsy has had a ton of glitches happening today. Maybe this is just one of them? Have you tried clearing your cache/cookies, trying a new browser, & reentering your card #?

Try again tomorrow. You can pay via PayPal without having an account - you just enter your card details. Maybe they can verify your card instead?

There is a widespread glitch of some sort on Google that may be affecting payments at the moment, perhaps try again in a few hours.

Thanks everyone. I was pissed and wasn't going to buy....but I came back now and it finally went through.
