I am not receiving emails that I have made a sale. Just recently I only learned I had a sale was when I checked the stats and saw an item was "sold out" which I was not aware of.
Thank goodness, I was able to package and mail it in time but had I not checked my stats, I would have never known about this sale.
Please help.
Those emails are auto sent but sometimes get hung up in servers. I never depend on emails to notify me of a sale. I get notified on the app plus I log into my shop at least 3 times per day.
Never depend on emails. Etsy sends them. But they can get delayed, lost in cyberspace, blocked by internal spam filters, etc. Make a point of checking your shop regularly.
Good advice from NanaLetha.
I've never used the app (always same computer, browser, etc.).
Here are some settings you could check if you wish, if you haven't already done so (along w/any others you want):
- In Shop Manager under Emails (have checked):
- Email me when someone sends me a Message
- When I send a Message (this could include Messages from Etsy when you receive Orders).
- Account > Preferences:
- Receive postal email fr. Etsy - Receive phone calls fr. Etsy
- Privacy:
- Findability (Yes); you'll note what's under that
If you want any of the above, always remember to "SAVE" after each selection or edit.
Hope this is helpful.

ETA: Also good advice fr. bradgoodell (I was typing this post while she posted)
No need to do for the sale confirmation email. They are automatic and have nothing to do with the other emails one can receive from Etsy. Order confirmation and shipping are two emails no one can opt out of.
It's just that some servers especially with free email are overloaded so it gets missed or the email provider changes their rules.
The best thing to do is always come into a shop once a day at least.
Thank You, JD. I did not know those were automatic.
(Just now seeing your post).

(If you wouldn't mind, would you please "at" me. I don't get Notices for every post. It was becoming too much when the Forums became powered by Lithium, so I un-checked some boxes. When someone Nests under me and/or Replies to me un-nested, I don't always see it. I've also been MIA quite a bit). Thanks again.
I use the Sell on Etsy app and it is a great way to check on a shop daily or hourly. If you wish, you can be notified of any sale with an email as well as a ka-ching audio clue. Being a shop owner means being alert for potential developments in your shop. Set a reminder, if needed, on your phone to check Etsy.
Me either!
I did nothing to any kind of settings at all to have Etsy's sale emails stop coming in. I've done everything I can do to have them come in, including having those four 'safe' emails on my safe senders list (I added them years ago and they're still there). Cannot find ANY "email" settings in my Etsy settings anywhere, except my email address. No "options", etc. I've been all over my email server settings. Nothing. So IDK - I guess I just deal with it. Maybe they're being re-routed to somewhere/someone? Like, did my Etsy emails get hi-jacked or something? Hmmm...
@CollectionSelection I'm sad to say, you'll just need to not rely on emails any more. Mine stopped suddenly, one day - several years ago. Went through all the back and forth with Etsy Support. NOTHING changed on my end. Now, I get a mere fraction of the emails that I should be getting, but also the Etsy promos and announcement emails. If I still get SOME of them, how in the world can it be an issue on my end?
I've given up trying, just check my shop often. And the Sell on Etsy app has accurate, if delayed, notifications.
You are definitely not alone - my concern is our Buyers who may be missing important emails.
Don't depend on Ka-Ching tho either. I had an order at 7:15 yesterday morning, had the notice on phone. Was in bedroom using iPad about 930 last night and iPad goes Ka-Ching. Thought wow this is my slow time two orders in one day, Yay. Go look nope nothing new it finally caught up with the morning order 14 hours later.LOL
Though many in the forums brush this off as an issue with your individual server -- and it may be in some cases.
There is an Etsy based glitch dating back to 2019, that Etsy has never fixed.
Etsy has recommended changing your email address, and the glitch appears on the new email account.
In my case, I receive all Etsy junk mail, it is the business related emails and convos from customers that are not 100% reliable.
If I have three packages going out, I will only receive 1 out of 3 shipping notifications.
I have never missed a notification from USPS on package pickup confirmations.
I have never missed a notification from Pirate Ship.
