I'm posting this in Technical Issues because I don't want to think it's personal. But, of course, I could be wrong.
Anyway, when I try to participate in the Community Spotlight Thread I get promptly red bannered. It says to me ...

Why are my privileges revoked? Could it be because I have achieved 666 sales?

I think they used to put forum posts they liked there on a rotating basis..things they thought had good info/tips

which is very cool. But I don't speak French. My mom tried...but...I think I just remember how to say potato. A few dirty words. And the basics like boy/girl/lady/gentleman.

I've a community spotlight microphone badge from a couple of years ago, 

I think they just pinned a thread I started to the top of a section in the forum for a while, it wasn't in some separate area.

It says that 19 people have the badge so I don't think that it's a thing that took off.
