Hi, I sell stickers in my shop. Via my Etsy setting, it only costs me about 63 cents to mail a letter within the US, which is why I offer free domestic shipping.. When I check free domestic shipping, Etsy includes Puerto Rico as well, however, USPS won't allow me to ship it for just 63 cents with the rest of my orders. Rather, It costs me a whole $4 - $5 dollars just to ship it, which is more than the price of the stickers themselves.
Is there anyway to keep domestic shipping free but exclude Puerto Rico? I don't want to make shipping unavailble for them, I just can't afford to offer them free shipping
@Kitruin: Free domestic shipping is an all or nothing proposition, but First Class Letter rate to Puerto Rico should be the same as anywhere else in the United States. Perhaps you should consider a different postage provider.
It costs me the same to ship something to PR as to Miami, FL. If there is that much difference for you there is something wrong or not set up correctly..
Although PR is part of the US, it still requires shipping with a customs form ... Etsy does not allow printing FC letter labels with a customs form, which is why you need to ship your orders to PR via GA or PM. There has been many posts about this recently.
@TBQSC: We have quite a few regular customers in Puerto Rico and have never had to do a customs form - just sent several this morning as a matter of fact. Perhaps it is an Etsy Labels only issue?
