*I do not want this to be a political argument **
For some baffling reason Etsy is determined to continually show me political tshirts on my main Etsy page. They are pro DeSantis celebrating his inhumane treatment of immigrants. This started several days ago. I have never searched for or clicked on anything even remotely political (either party) so this is not about my search history- I have still cleared it numerous times a day the past few days but the shirts remain on my home page. I have searched all sorts of other things to try to push these off my home page but they won’t go away. I don’t want to see these every time I come on Etsy. I find them disgusting. Why is Etsy insisting on promoting these to me? If I were a random shopper and these were continually being pushed at me I would leave Etsy and not come back. Does anyone know how to fix this?

* edited, because I suggested what you already tried. I don't see this type if stuff, typically. Not sure why you are.

Re: How to stop seeing this
Unfortunately that isnt solving the problem, I’ve done both repeatedly. And it isn’t due to my search history because I’ve never searched political stuff on Etsy. I thinking maybe these are tagged with something unrelated that is triggering them to show up for me- don’t want to actually click on them find out though.

Re: How to stop seeing this
just click on loads of paintings or soft toys, and that's what you'll be shown in future

Re: How to stop seeing this
Interesting I am seeing the same thing, I never go to the home page but I thought I check it out and see. I never ever searched or even clicked on anything political, so I am not sure why it is there. Etsy has to be involved in this somehow, maybe they think it is treading.
Well, anyway just another reason never to look at the home page.

Betreff: How to stop seeing this
I get Desantis shirts, etc. on my homepage after clearing all my browser history too.

Yes I firmly believe that there is more to this story than recent browser history.

Re: How to stop seeing this
My homepage is showing the same thing, multiple listings for Desantis Airlines t-shirts. I have never searched or viewed anything related to this. I've tried viewing other items and that did not change anything. Still seeing the same obnoxious t-shirts.
Etsy, please fix this problem. This is NOT something I want to see on my homepage!

Re: How to stop seeing this
I thought I would go to the Etsy home page and see what was there for me. The same DeSantis crap! Come on Etsy, seriously. I have searched for nothing political. NOTHING. Not even a T-shirt. It concerns me that potential customers are coming to Etsy and getting turned off and leaving. I would.

Re: How to stop seeing this
Agreed. If I was a shopper and came to Etsy and that was the first thing they showed me I would decide Etsy wasn’t a place for me and I’d leave.

Re: How to stop seeing this
As a side note, it sure would be nice if some of my art showed up on the homepage like this to encourage people to buy from me

Re: How to stop seeing this
I'm seeing the same thing. I thought maybe it was being suggested on my front page because I live in Florida, but the OP doesn't. Yikes, the algorithm doesn't know me if it's showing that name on my front page. One more reason to avoid my front page (again) I guess.
It's a failure of marketing to show a potential buyer something that angers them, but I have a Fine Arts degree and not a marketing one, so what do I know?

@SmudgePlant Thanks! It looks like it might hit just north of us, but I'm still hoping it takes a little wobble westward once it gets into the gulf.

Re: How to stop seeing this
Did you guys maybe recently click on a shop in a Forum post in order to look at and help the shop, that sells this kind of item maybe?

Re: How to stop seeing this
I have not. I looked at only one shop from a forum post this week and it had nothing to do with politics or tshirts. It was a shop that did custom portraits.

Re: How to stop seeing this
Nope! I pretty much only look at vintage items so there is no reason for me to see this.

Re: How to stop seeing this
Wow, because I know there was one this morn I saw. This kind of thing is so odd. I have seen it the odd time too but rarely am on the Home page.

Re: How to stop seeing this
I know I didn't look at anything recently that would trigger those items. Now those two spots on my front page have been replaced with blank images that say " Adult X-rated 18+". I can't wait to see what comes next.
Way to go, Etsy. The first two images on my front page are now even more ridiculous. Another failure in marketing if this is what the algorithm is showing to actual buyers. Everything it's showing below that first grouping is stuff that I *have* looked at recently: some really cool wooden stamps, tile for mosaics, and soap from my favorite sellers.
Yet they waste the first two spots on political t-shirts and X rated "something". smdh

I think that section has become a cross between "Recently Viewed" and "Popular Now."

I just checked my home page and it's not happening to me. I'm in Canada so maybe it's a U.S. thing?
