I am trying to figure out how to contact etsy. I received an email that a payment didn't go through and that they placed the item back in my shop. I also received notification that the item sold and is paid for. I need to know which it is???
Go to your orders and shipping
If it's in "new" you have an order
click "completed" near the top,
on the right hand side, under "completion status" clicked "cancelled"
If its in there, it's been cancelled and refunded

you can contact etsy - community and help - contact us - but they take their time responding
Which did you receive first? Is the payment in your shop payment account?
You don't need to contact Etsy. Look in your shop at the Orders page and at your Payment Account.
For future reference: Go to Dashboard, Community & Help, Contact Us to contact Etsy.
