Etsy adjusted a postage on me claiming I shipped in a flat rate priority but paid for ground advantage. I have never had priority envelopes, I use white padded envelopes!
And they adjusted it today and it was delivered a week ago!
I just went through this. So, assuming you used the USPS for shipping, what you're looking to do is "dispute an adjustment". Here are the steps i took. First I put together the relevant information: usps adjustment ID, tracking number, adjustment number, date, amount of the adjustment
and then I emailed all of that info to verifypostagehelp@usps.gov
they never answered me by email, so later I also followed up with sending a copy of the purchase receipt for the postage which showed the size and weight of the package in question. they never did answer, but after about 6 weeks I received a refund check in the mail from the usps.
@CoolCyberCats: "Etsy adjusted a postage on me ..." Actually USPS made the adjustment and Etsy is only passing it along if Etsy is where you purchased your label from. https://faq.usps.com/s/article/Automated-Package-Verification-Program
