How can a guest edit a review?

I have a Guest customer who would like to change their review (a bad one - unfortunately they left the review before contacting me about the issue). They are asking me how to do this, but I do not know the answer. I assume I cannot tell them to go to their Profile, then Purchases and Reviews, and click Edit, because they are a guest.

What should they do?

This is my first ever one star, so I woud really like them to be able to alter it!

Guest buyers cannot leave reviews at all.

They must have created an account in order to leave the review.

If you replied to the review, they can't change it. Sorry.

This user purchased with an Apple ID, and they were able to leave a review probably by logging into their Apple account.  I would suggest that you ask them if they can access their review though their Apple ID to change it.  Other than that I am not sure what to suggest, maybe put a ticket into Etsy to explain how customers going through Apple modify reviews.

Hi, thanks for the responses.

Pat Cahill is correct - my mistake - it was not technically a guest, it was a 'Sign In with Apple User' which is something I have seen before and not the username of this particular customer. I have suggested they follow the standard method, but if that won't work, I will probably have to contact Etsy, unless someone here knows how to deal with the problem.

As to replying to the review, fortunately I have not done that yet, so it still should be changeable. I hope!

Technically no. But they can sign in with Apple. You might have seen a customer username as 'Sign In With Apple User'. As far as Etsy is concerned this does not count as Guest. And maybe it shouldn't. But my customer is asking how to change their review, so I not sure if they are seeing what people with Etsy accounts normally see.

If anyone is able to Sign in with Apple in this way, perhaps they can tell me what they see.

They should be able to sign in to Etsy with their apple ID and then they can go to https://www.etsy.com/your/purchases where they can see their purchases and reviews.

As long as you haven't written a response and then deleted it they should be able to edit their review (though hopefully someone who uses an apple ID to sign in to Etsy comes along soon to confirm or deny).
