How Do I Mark An Order Complete Without Tracking??

I am trying to mark an order complete without tracking, but it won't let me, even when I select Digital Item it is still asking me to input a carrier. 

The order is for a customized digital file that I'm emailing them.

"Not Available" is no longer an option. 

Help! I have several orders I will be working on and need to mark complete.

When I do personalised digitals, I choose Other under Shipper and then type Emailed in the text box.

If you change the courier to anything else then back again the mark as complete button is no longer greyed out.

Or you can enter text into the tracking number box and then delete it and the button is no longer greyed out.

Same problem for me today. I just typed ‘Post Office’ into the tracking box, then it would let me mark complete. Must be a glitch - never happened before.

Anyone else unable to mark an order complete today? Other does not work. I ship email, so no tracking number.  Maybe will try the Post Office thing. Time to take a break from this constant attack against Digital sellers.

I clicked on Other, then for tracking number I typed "not applicable". I was then able to mark my order as complete.

They added options for local delivery & pick up , digital items etc.

Once you click 'mark as complete'  it the mark as complete pop up opens where you can select the carrier and enter tracking number etc. Right under the text box to type in the tracking number it says 'This order doesn't have tracking'. If you click that it you get drop down options to select for why the order doesn't have tracking. You can select Digital Items, Items linked to another order, local pickup or delivery, oversized or heavy items or something else.

Select whichever applies then click the button at bottom that says mark 1 order(s) complete.

I tried a variety of things, and nothing is working... my problem is that I had forgotten to ask for tracking when I had shipped a physical order (a few cards) at the post office on Feb. 16th. So, I have no tracking number. I'm not sure what to do to mark the order as complete. It's been a week now... sigh.

I chose "evergreen" as the carrier and then typed in "no tracking" in the tracking # box. It worked!

Thank you for being my HERO of the day.  I tried all of the suggestions before yours with no luck, so I was relieved that yours worked.  I wonder why Etsy changed this. I'm sure it has to do with some sort of financial gain. Anyway, I'm in your debt.

This no tracking thing is broken, it still does not ever mark the item "delivered" which hurts the Star Seller ranking. They penalize sellers for using Local Pickup because the metric is based solely on Tracking info. They keep telling me they wont fix it.

@RainbowDaddyGifts   This is an old thread and Etsy asks that we not resurrect old threads.

If you read the information on star seller for the US as well as Etsy information in general, you will see that Etsy requires tracking on all items.  They make an exception for the US if you don't want SS by allowing $10 and under to have no tracking. 

Etsy has allowed hand delivering but they would prefer sellers don't.  In fact you lose seller protection for hand delivering.

They won't fix it because Etsy requires the tracking number.  If you hand deliver, you can only mark it complete.  There will be NO information on whether or not the item is delivered.  Even sending a receipt with tracking that can be done through Etsy labels is not proof the item itself was delivered.

 

Tracking has always been important to Etsy.  It is proof that the item was shipped by the seller. 

As a new shop it would help you if you could spend some time reading about teh SS program and Our House Rules as well as information in Help.  You will find it helpful to learn your way around Etsy.  There is a great deal here.

You need to add your about page to make a complete shop as one of the requirements on Etsy.
