So I have set everything up and according to payment settings my card information is all verified. This morning a customer attempted to purchase from my store, unfortunately it was not approved by out payment system because my bank is not a partner. I bank through Chase. Has anyone had to sign up with revolut or has anyone have any TOS for getting my account to verify.

It was probably a scam message you received.  Did you provide any financial info or click any links?

Why is this happening so much again?  It's like the fall of 2023, deja vu.

@UppNorthEh  Absolutely; it's like a reborn epidemic. And for every one we hear about, think of how many never come to the Forums. Not good.

read thru this post and thank your lucky stars this order didn't go through. If you're being told you have an order look at your orders page, if it's not there don't engage with these people.

SCAM. They prey on new shops. They are trying to trick you into giving away your banking info or to deposit money into an account to "start up"

Anytime a buyer says they are having trouble paying, tell them to contact etsy. That will scare them off.

@LovelandApparel: Etsy and their payment processor(s) do not care who you bank with for the purposes of accepting an order and processing a buyer's payment. Etsy has already approved your bank or you would not have payment options listed for your shop.

There are a number of Etsy Help Articles and threads in this forum to help you identify scam attempts.

New shops are targets of scammers, and incomplete shops (no location, about, policies, etc) make you look like a prime target to them. Undoubtedly their reasoning is that if a shop did not take the time to research how to have a complete shop (important for organic search and more) they will not have taken the time to research potential scams.

Be sure to mark the Message as spam so that it does not negatively affect your Customer Satisfaction statistics.
