I’m losing my mind, someone please help. The estimated delivery times for my products differ from those set in the shipping profile. My products arrive well before Christmas, as specified in my shipping profiles, yet Etsy shows much longer dates to customers. As a result, my Christmas sales have come to a halt right now, during the most crucial and profitable days of the year. Customers are no longer buying because Etsy shows that the product might not arrive in time for Christmas.
The most absurd thing is that the delivery times appear different for each item, even though (almost all of them) use the same shipping profile. Some items show a delivery date of December 23, others December 27, and others January 3. How is this possible?
I wrote to Etsy about a month ago, and I got a reply 15 days later with a screenshot showing the only item with the correct times, saying everything looked fine on their end.
Could someone kindly take a look at my store, at least the first 4 items, and tell me what delivery times are displayed? I’m losing my mind, especially after a month and a half of work on videos, photos, and SEO.
I’m starting to see Etsy as an increasingly unreliable platform.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Your shop location is Italy but your listings say you ship from Germany??? Something is not correct.
No, no, it's correct. We have a fulfillment in Germany that care of the shipments, just to be faster. It has been like this for at least 4 years
I've seen many, many posts complaining about shipping times for weeks now. I've seen several times when I went to print labels that my item would arrive late because I wasn't shipping fast enough. Next day not fast enough and showing an item should arrive starting the next day! Obviously impossible when it will get shipped next day! Right now, I'm selling far more on other sites than here. It used to be the other way around. I'm sure all the search, AI issues and numerous glitches are hurting sales. It appears Etsy has done little to nothing and sadly I don't expect it to change. Diversify to other sites.
Thank you so much. Since October 2023, we’ve been dealing with about a 60% drop in visits on Etsy. Clearly, it’s an algorithm issue. We’ve done everything we could, and over the past two months, we’ve dedicated almost full-time effort to Etsy—updating and changing photos, resolutions, videos, SEO, and adding a few new items (boldly provocative and tailored to Etsy’s algorithm!).
Now that visits finally seem to be improving, we’re facing this issue with Etsy showing much longer shipping times, effectively ruining our Christmas sales season. We can’t take it anymore. We’re exhausted.
One question: what other platforms are there?
The red "may arrive late" has been in my shipping labels section going on for over a year now. I think there are so many other things affecting the drop in sales for us, it's not that. Yesterday an order that came in and wasn't scheduled to ship until Friday, per E the "buyer expects" date was THAT SAME DAY. My workaround is in the shipping note to buyer putting "your order is expected for delivery the latest by...." and use the end date that E lists, or if it's a large order or upgraded shipping order I go on the USPS/UPS website and get the actual date of delivery.
I have posted many times in the last 6 months on this issue (last time: https://community.etsy.com/t5/Technical-Issues/I-figured-out-why-Etsy-makes-up-delivery-times-for-cu...)
Etsy LIES to customers if they tell them it will arrive by a date and I ship the same day and they tell me it will arrive late. Yet now just about every order does this.
Hey Etsy - GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER and DON'T lie to buyers!
