I have been the victim of the scam on here which I have all the information reviled by the scammer last night.

30th October 2023

is there anyway of contacting Etsy as I do not trust this site as the scammer is using Etsy branded chats to harass me.

Demanding I give my bank statement to show how much I have in my account.

why have Etsy not done anything about scammers using their app to con people.

I cannot close my account until I know for sure its Etsy and not the scammer who want the balance.

It's the scammer who's asking for your bank account balance, not Etsy.  Did the scam start first by asking for your email address?

Put the message in your spam folder.

Remember, Etsy already have your email and financial information, so you don't need to enter it again anywhere

If you have a genuine sale, it will appear on your Dashboard

Was it an email or an internal message? For financial questions, it will ALWAYS be on your dashboard (not an email) or an internal message that is in your "from etsy" section of your inbox. Everything else is a scam.

As stated above, when you have a real sale, it will show on your dashboard under "Orders & Shipping".

Scammers target new shops who are eager for their first sale, and they are counting on you not understanding how etsy works.
