Help! My Best Seller was removed from search??

I’ve had this best seller for about 10 months and it was a great source of income. About a week ago sales and views and hearts dropped suddenly one day and barely have a trickle now. 

Today I searched for it using a friends phone and computer and I can’t find it. Even searched the title verbatim. My other items do show up when I look for them. Just not my best seller! What do I do? What happened? It seems like I was deindexed??? But why? 

The only thing I can think of is around the same day my views dropped I adjusted my inventory for that listing. I also added a picture. Please Help! I need advice.

*It’s still has a best seller label when you’re in my shop, but that can’t be for long right? Since it’s not in search.

I think Etsy might have de-indexed it.

Not sure what candle that is...

but you do have some issues with some of your labels. Can't have profanity (the F bomb) visible on the first image. You're supposed to censor that...FYI. While some folks would be amused, others would be not so. And that's an Etsy policy from way back.

Maybe someone else can advise. If it was your 'Look 21' candle, I see it on the top row in your shop.

It’s the weed candle that’s on top. It’s in my shop I just can’t search for it using a different computer. *About the F candle, I understood that as long as I had in my title and tags it’s mature adult content it would be ok? Do I understand that wrong?

@RavenHils Yes. The problem is Etsy doesn’t have any way of verifying the age of anyone looking at the site, there’s no age-restricted area.

The rule about putting anything adult in the second photo is so the first one is ‘family-friendly’ and won’t suddenly pop up in someone’s search unexpectedly.

I don’t think Etsy really explains this all that well. Having the ‘mature’ tags doesn’t do anything to limit who sees the item, it only acts as an aid to searching for it.

You could use the same image for your first and second photo in each listing, but be sure to obscure any swear words etc in the first one. You could use a cartoon symbol or something to alert people to something under the banner.  That way buyers who want to see such things can find it and those who don’t want to have no grounds to complain.

When you say “label” do you mean tags used?

I am editing my response since I do not see the best seller on that page but I am not going to search through over 900 listings in search to find it.

I don’t see it, I see the other Mason jar weed candle I have. That has them lined up and is a poor quality image.

Thats not the listing that I can’t find. Now if you really do see the other one, and if others do too, then what does that mean? Why can’t I find it using someone else’s computer and IP address?

It should still show up. Your link I saw 3 of mine on same page. But not the best seller on *any* page.

etsy has removed best sellers in the past, but I can find it under the full heading, and under "weed cover up candle"

were you using a different search term? - or was your default something other than USA, as it only shows in usa searches

if you go into your search bar in your own shop and search for your best seller... is it there?

I know you can see it in your shop but if you cannot locate it by using the search feature in your shop than you are correct and it is no longer indexed.

*I should add I decided to advertise this listing and it *used* to have thousands of impressions but now it’s had only 16 all day. So I assume perhaps it’s out there in search, but why would it drop views so low? Adjusting inventory?

Etsy will still run ads even if its for an item that is no longer indexed in search which is probably why the views are so low.

Please try what i suggested in my other response.
