I was in a conversation with Etsy, they said they were going to transfer me to The Senior Department, my Help Line to Etsy is now Stuck or disabled. I've restarted my computer, I've restarted Etsy. I don't believe it's me. The first person I talked to about Offsite Ads - hung up, the second person told me someone would call me, the third person jammed my machine. Hum..... is there a way to get my Help Line open again if I promise not to talk to anyone about Offsite Ads again???? Thank you
I'd like you to know that I don't believe in conspiracies. I'm normally a very calm person. At this point I would ask that my Help Line to Etsy be reinstated or fixed or restarted. I'm a Star Seller and have been from the very beginning, that should mean something in all this...
Were you conversing in the chat box or were you on Etsy messages?
In the little pillow icon on my page
I'm guessing you mean that chat box. I've never heard of it being disabled - are you unable to type anything new and enter?
If it's about Offsite Ads, maybe someone in the Forums can help - it's pretty basic, and Etsy sticks to their rules.
* Really pretty shop, @MyFrenchTexas !
Oh - and by the way, when they say they will send your issue to "a specialist" or other department, you will probably get an email at some point - to your direct email. The Chat is like a call center, (is my impression) and they don't have the "special teams" in another cubical who will help you right away. Sometimes it takes several days or longer, and be sure to check your spam folder for emails from Etsy support.
* Looking at past emails, it's from " support+id123456789@etsy.zendesk . com "
Actually, I can type into it and Enter. No one answers. And a BOT does not come on when I try to disconnect.
And thank you for the comment about my Shop. I got so upset yesterday I thought about leaving Etsy. I've been here 14 years and I like it, most of the time. It's a good, comfortable fit.

This is the new normal - lots of other Forums posts about this. I experienced this a few months ago, and what I did was keep typing / entering in that chat box everything I wanted to ask / explain, even though there was no "live" responses from Etsy. A day or so later, I got an email (the zendesk one) addressing my issue. So someone reads our chat messages - eventually.
This thread is from yesterday -

Thank you this all really helps. I'll do as you did, just keep adding information to the feed hoping someone will read it.
