Hello, Legal and tax information is not editable. Any help?

Hello, Etsy is asking me to upload a taxpayer ID, but I can't click the button. Taxpayer ID is not clickable, not even my personal details. Can any1 suggest me what to do?
Etsy live chat is simply telling they will contact me about this isue via email, but no1 contacting..... HELP!

there are two places, the taxpayer ID is for your VAT number, if you have one,

If it's a taxpayer ID, you have to click on - additional taxpayer ID, click the down arrow on the box, and choose Georgia, and enter the relavant one

Etsy doesn't know the difference between a taxpayer ID, and a VAT number

I cant click it. Tax ID is not clickable (Button is grey), it says: GEORGIA - NOT PROVIDED.

Etsy is forcing me to do that and no1 is answering me not via live chat not even by emails.....

I've gone and looked at the list, Georgia is not on it, at all

I'm experiencing the same problem. Everything is locked down. Is it resolved by any chance? I'm constantly waiting for their email and I'm scared of forced vacation mode.

@DIYBloomingPaperie  Are you using the app? If so, try using a browser and see if that makes a difference.

@LexyLeatherCraft Since Georgia is not on the list of countries you may need to contact Etsy support and ask them when it will be added. I expect they forget to include it; since new shops can't be opened in Georgia at the moment (this is my assumption based on the fact that Etsy Payments is not currently available for that country).

Thank you for your advice! I used a browser from the beginning, not an app. The problem persists. I think your guess is correct. I'm a Korean seller in a country where there is no Etsy Payments option. This error is seen as an error for sellers without the Etsy Payments option. I hope they solve the problem quickly. I have 6 days left before the expiration date in the yellow banner. If there is a problem with Etsy's system, they should solve the problem within my deadline even if they ask me for proof by email. I don't understand why the seller has to lose due to a system error with a set deadline.

Anybody get this resolved? I have the same issue, and I have tried using Etsy "support" twice, but nothing gets resolved.

I have never made more than a handful of sales here, but recently held a fundraiser and within 24 hours Etsy suspended my account at the $400 mark, saying I needed to enter my tax ID number. So I did. THEN they asked for a photo id. What online shop does that?! My photo id is in my married name and I am in the process of getting my SSN changed, so I don't have names that match. My bank account is verified but I can't change my name on the site. They kept emailing me the "3 step process" that all links to the photo id upload page but never provided a way to change anything else or speak to a single representative to resolve the issue, it was always a different person. They have since stopped communicating, I paid for my orders on Printify out of pocket because my business reputation matters to me, and Etsy is holding my $400 hostage and my shop remains suspended. So, yeah, I'd love to hear if someone actually finds a resolution!
