EDIT SOLVED
It can be found on the bottom of the page under the "transform" button which is super tiny and I just didn't see until someone pointed it out to me.
Sometimes I need to crop my photos after they have been uploaded when I notice a bit of my floor beyond my backdrop paper is showing. I'm trying to crop the image but I'm no longer seeing an option to do so on the website. Usually I click into the images and it says something like "crop image" but it now only says "edit" and when I click that it opens up a new tool page where I can edit the brightness, contrast etc but there is no option to crop the image. Anyone have any insight or notice the same? Why would they remove this super useful tool? Hoping this is just a bug that is fixed soon! I usually photo and draft listings in large batches, so I've already deleted the photos from my phone and can't edit and re-upload. I would have to photo the item again, which is a total hassle.
Yeah, can't crop. Crop function still there tho. Who is surprised by this?
Interesting, I hope they are just doing an update and it will fix itself soon, and they haven't gotten rid of the tool for good.
FYI...I just discovered...THE CROP HANDLES ARE THERE, on the listing image, after uyou click the TRANSFORM button.
Did you notice the Crop Handles around the image after you click on Transform? It took me a while but I finally saw they were there. (the crop icon we're used to seeing was removed tho)
@WaterscapesByCarol Thank you! This is so helpful.
There is another Thread reporting that 11 Photo Editing options have been added to some Shops. It may be the case that Etsy is rolling out this change and that is why the Crop tool is not working for some.
I'm seeing the 11 new options under the "edit" tool page, but non of these options are for cropping. Hopefully it shows up again and there is just a bug with the new roll out (as usual)
The edit tool on the website is similar to the "adjust" tab on the app now, so hopefully they bring in the "transform" section as well that allows you to rotate and crop to different sizes and ratios.
FYI...I just discovered...THE CROP HANDLES ARE THERE, on the listing image, after you click the TRANSFORM button. Very relieved to see this.
If you see the new "Adjust" tools at the bottom when you edit an image, just click on the "Transform" button to reveal the cropping tools.
Yes I edited my post, I see it now, thanks! For whatever reason my eyes completely overlooked that.
same problem here, on my phone Etsy app. I click on edit photo - adjust - exposure - then I can't save my edited photo
It's doing the same thing in my 3 shops and i'm getting frustrated
Thank you so much, I've been going crazy;. appreciate you're knowledge.
Do youy use desktop or cell phone to upload your listings? I use desktop and it does not show on desktop, only cel phone.

Something new to roll out broken, and never fix?
Joy.
With no user guide that I could find. And what does Transform even mean? I would have split that button into two - Crop and Flip/Rotate.
If you have the new editing tools, crop is under "transform".
I can see transform, but can not click it! How frustrating
Under the photo I see an edit icon and a whole line of editing functions. I think this is a positive thing. Glad to see it.
GOOD NEWS! FYI...I just discovered...THE CROP HANDLES ARE THERE, on the listing image, after you click the TRANSFORM button. Very relieved to see this.
Just to note: I used it and found it removes the alt text from that photo. I do like the fact it can adjust the photo quality.
I just find the new tool super slow. The previous system was much quicker. Because it has to load each picture to be cropped, it has increased the time I spend cropping photos enormously. I hope it is a test
Yes Ive just tried it where has the crop gone, I can see the transformation but what size do you put in it comes out tiny? Why can it it worked perfectly ok as it was
GOOD NEWS! FYI...I just discovered...THE CROP HANDLES ARE THERE, on the listing image,AFTER you click the TRANSFORM button. Very relieved to see this. Look at your image and you'll see crop handles on the corner.
Oooooo, I like this new feature. Thanks for point out how to find it, I never saw that "Transform" button until you mentioned it. Thank you!
