2 weeks ago I have a customer made a payment from my shop. I got the email. I can’t accesses to accept my customer payments on my banking card. They ask my card info and then ask for the sms code. I phone my bank 3 times. They not accept my code. They assume that I was punching in problem. They won’t let me do something else. I did email Etsy. They were no help. The communication between Etsy is very poor. My customers was expecting her package.

@CharstarartShop You'd get help for that question if you ask for advice in the Shop Critique forum section.

Re: Has Anyone Having Problems accepting payment from their customers?

I think I have worked out what is happening and there are 2 issues here

1) This new Seller was the target of the "request for email addrerss" scam" and,

2) As new Seller, thinking they had made their first Sale and not understanding how Etsy Payments work wanted to log into her Bank to see if there were any funds deposited. She was having difficulty checking her Bank Account Balance because of the SMS verification process. That is why she "yelled" at the Bank.

If the "scammer" has the email and SMS that is a concern. Perhaps the Bank actually identified a "scam" attempt and blocked it.?

Re: Has Anyone Having Problems accepting payment from their customers?

Let's hope so. Not every seller comes to the forum to read announcements.

And the protect your account is easily missed hidden among the numerous pointless announcements in the dashboard.

There needs to be a huge bright banner across the top warning new sellers which will only disappear when they have clicked to read it, they can even make it in orange if they want

You shop needs a lot of work. Might be better making a new separate post in Shop Critiques

SMS is a message on a mobile phone / device. It is not email.

Re: Has Anyone Having Problems accepting payment from their customers?

@CharstarartShop No, it is not a real sale.  It's a scam.  Do not respond and put it in your spam folder.  If you also received a regular email regarding this fake sale, either spam it or delete it completely.

When you do get a sale, it will show up on your Dashboard and the money will be shown in your Finances > Payment Account.

No one needs your email to complete a purchase; Etsy already has it.

Re: Has Anyone Having Problems accepting payment from their customers?

Sorry, no, that is still not a real sale.

When I look at your shop, under your name it does not show any sales yet.

If or when you make a sale you will get an email from 'Etsy Transactions' and you can confirm it by going to your 'orders & shipping' page in your shop dashboard, it will show up there.

Re: Has Anyone Having Problems accepting payment from their customers?

@CharstarartShop  , Scam! If there is a sale, on your shop home page you will see an orange notification. Also on your dashboard there will be an orange dot next to 'orders & shipping' on the left side. Then if you go to your payment account you will see the money there in your account if there is a sale.

I suggest you read up on how to sell on etsy. There is a learning curve and this should have been done before you even opened your shop IMO.

Also do not offer free shipping. You won't be making any money after you pay the fees and postage cost.

Re: Has Anyone Having Problems accepting payment from their customers?

I can tell from your shop that you haven’t made a sale.  Any sale you make will immediately show up in your shop dashboard.

This is a scam.  You have given scammers your financial information.  If they have access to your card or other financial account, cancel it immediately.

You never need to give your email to a customer.  All communication with customers should go through Etsy messaging.
