Had to go to account setting to see my dashboard? Now what?

Upon signing in this morning, I could not see my dashboard. It was not accessible anywhere! I finally found it by going into my account settings! What on earth is Etsy doing now?

Right now, I can only get to my shop manager, dashboard pages, etc. by going into my account settings.

Are you using the app or a desktop browser?

That's a good point, that did not occur to me, as I always use my desktop browser to view my dashboard, not the app.

I only ever use desktop. It was fine until this morning. Now if I go off of my shop manager page, the only way I can get back into it is by going to account settings page.

Overnight, etsy changed the location of the dashboard icon and moved it all the way to the righthand side. Could this have somehow caused one of the world famous etsy glitches for some shops? Maybe just for certain browsers?

I can see my dashboard icon and access it as usual.

Because there was a message from Etsy stating my favorites have a new look I am assuming this isn't a test. If others aren't seeing it yet it may be rolled out soon to all?  Etsy has moved things around a bit which is likely because a test was found to be positive for shoppers.  The shop manager can still be clicked on from the tool bar.  It's now the last icon on the Etsy tool bar when working on a computer.  I feel this will be better for shoppers who are not sellers because it's easier for them to locate their favorites and deals.

My shop manager also included the Etsy notice about the new privacy policies. 
They include a link to them. I did click and surprised to see that the notice did not go away, it's still there.

Maybe this has something to do with access? They want to be sure shop owners see the notice?

We updated our privacy policy

To the right of this is the link to read the policy. 
Though some might wonder. The page starts out with "took effect on July 24, 2023". But scroll to the bottom & it indicates Last Updated on June 20, 2024. I'm sure my brain would explode trying to compare old to updated, lol. But there must be something there.

Why do shop owners have to search to get into their page info? Getting tired of all the changes for sellers and no help for the problem issues with the site.

It's like they are going out of their way to make it harder to do our basic job of SELLING, with every new change and faff they are doing!

It feels like the boat is taking on water and Etsy is at the back drilling holes in the bottom of the boat

Upon Signing In a short while ago, I entered my Dashboard thru the Shop Manager Icon (which for me and other), is now on the far Right, top of page (desktop computer, Chrome).  Yesterday and on other days, I would receive the Home Page Pop Up that @NancyQstudio  described "(Your Favs have a new look"). I didn't get that today, but it fluctuates. I also saw the Update to the Privacy Policy. It feels like there are several things being tinkered with all at once, and most likely glitches going hand in hand with everything.

I'm here for the same reason...I'm on Chrome, laptop, and couldn't figure out how to find my dashboard. I finally clicked on "messages" and got there that way.

Thankfully all you wonderful sellers are so helpful and on top of things because I found the elusive shop manager icon after reading this thread!

@PeggyCollinsPhotoArt  Yesterday it was in my Shop Dashboard/Manager (I never know what to call it:) I read the article, then clicked on the X to remove the Announcement. I think it may be in the Seller's Handbook. Let me go see if I can find it for you; I'll be back:)

Yeh, now it is on my page but this morning it was missing for approx. 2 hours! Etsy has serious tech issues.
