I need help, a potential customer is trying to purchase an item from my store and it doesn't let them. They had no issues purchasing from another seller, however once they enter the payment information and proceed to purchase a yellow bar on top of the page shows up saying, "oh dear. there was a problem summiting your order." Please help
Is the buyer using the app? Have them reinstall the app to get the latest.
On a browser? They may need to reboot or upgrade their browser.
The other may be that they reached their credit limit.
If they continue to have problems ask them to contact Etsy.
Unfortunately we can't solve technical issues in the forum. We're a forum of fellow sellers, not Etsy support. The buyer should contact Etsy support to see what's happening with their account.
OP, some credit cards have hidden limits within the card's features, including restricting international purchases, certain currencies, etc. You won't know if the card has those limits. Ask your buyer to use a browser and buy only one item at a time from your shop. If he is still unable to purchase, he may need to talk with his card's customer service.
Being a new seller, look out for SCAMS. If they want you to take off Etsy because it's not working for them, DON'T.
Yes, it may be a scam! They target new sellers who don't know how etsy works.
Tell them to try another browser or to contact etsy. It's not something you can do anything about anyway!
Hello all. Few days ago I opened a shop in Etsy, also I'm using Printify. I have red a lot of topics about what may be a spam and what isn't, but I still can't figure it out complitely.
So lately 2 different customers send me an e-mail saying they couldn't proceed with their order, their email was including a picture of the Order number, the message 'not payed' and a link which shows a product of mine.
I thought this may be a scam, but when I checked my Dashboard on Etsy it showed that I have 1 order and the amount of money for it. After clicking on the details there was no order? And after 10 minutes or so the notification from the Dashboard disappeared.
Was this a scam or a buyer really has had problem making a purchase?
@HootAndBeyond It sounds like someone attempted to order - whether a scammer or not - the payment didn't go through on their end, and Etsy removed the order. Glad you are aware of possible problems - if you need to answer a message then tell the shopper they need to contact Etsy themselves for clarification.
Oh, thank you for the replay.
In fact I didn't click on the link, showing the item they want buy from me, but sent them a replay to tell me what exactly the problem is, but they didn't replay.
I still haven't sell anything, so it would be very sad if I loose potential buyers because of an ordering problem. ,
