I didn't see any other recent posts about this issue but it has happened twice now in the last 2 days, so something to keep an eye out for. I purchase my labels from Etsy, I select USPS Ground Advantage, I review and make sure everything is correct, and then I proceed to purchase the labels. Then after I click to print the labels, when it comes up in the print preview, one of them has magically switched from Ground Advantage to Priority Mail. I guess it's a good thing we can cancel labels after the fact, but if I wasn't paying attention and rushed to ship everything then it would be too late and I would be out that money. Both packages that got flipped weighed 1 lb., 2 oz. I wonder if it's a glitch with how the old First Class Mail weight would automatically be bumped up to Priority Mail if it was over 16 oz.
I've noticed priority often comes up as the clicked selection and I have to change it back to ground even though the customer paid for ground. I guess its Etsy suggesting I upgrade.
I noticed that awhile back too and that's why I have been "double checking my work" now to make sure it's not auto selected.
Same has happened to me once or twice before, but not since I re-created my shipping profiles. Sometimes a glitch happens and if you create new ship profiles, it seems to bump the glitch out. Don't copy a profile ... create a brand new one using the same info as before. Hope it works for ya! : )
ETA ... ensure you have lots of package sizes available in your package preferences and if using CS, ensure you have FCM, PSG, and PM enabled ... that way any pkgs over 1# will NOT automatically get bumped to PM.
Check and make sure your shipping profiles have parcel and FC allowed as they still don't have GA as an option after ..oh 2 years in July? Profiles can be glitchy. They may just be "suggesting" priority and hope you don't notice/ pick it. Even PirateShip will suggest Priority first sometimes. I write a list of buyer names with package size and weight when I am packing and if Priority I make a note of that on the slip. No note means GA. It seems sneaky to change it after you pick it though.
