A malicious customer who disregarded the installation guide gave me 3 stars in his comment, my score from 5.00 decreased to 4.6. I said that I will send a new product to the customer for free, and he made the comment 4 stars. My score was 4.8, when I received the new product for free, I gave 3 stars again. ( 04 July ) my score was 4.6. Then another customer gave it 5 stars. My score is 4.7. then a chief customer gave 5 stars my score did not increase 4.7 left. then another customer gave 5 stars and my score was 4.7. I'm losing the August seller star badge because another (3rd) customer didn't update the 5-star review in the system. I reported this huge injustice to the support team.
Answer given to me:
"I would like to inform you that The response you get in the last two days of the month is not counted in the review period; the response from the last two days is counted in the next month.
That's why the responses received in the last two days of the month are not counted in the review period. But you are really doing good work, and we really appreciate it."
They said that they transferred my two 5-star status to the next month, which was given before 31 July, so I could not get a Seller Star in August. this is against the rules. I am being treated unfairly. no one is trying to help and gloss over.
This is a situation that tarnishes the name of etsy
Buyers cannot edit their reviews once you reply to them, so maybe don't do that until any issues are resolved.
The policy of not counting responses on the last 2 days of every month has been in effect for some time now.
It's unfortunate, but not unfair. We're all being judged the same way, and many of us have spent at least a month badgeless because of an end-of-month calculation issue.
Hopefully you'll get the badge next month.
@UniqueStuffETSY: While we can all sympathize with your frustration there is nothing we can do about it. What Etsy never makes clear is all Star Seller stats are in UTC not your time zone so what is July 31 to you may be August 1 to Etsy - and this applies to orders and messages, too. Additionally updates to Star Seller stats do not seem to ever be in real time so we are also at the mercy of when the update is run.
"I'm losing the August seller star badge because another (3rd) customer didn't update the 5-star review in the system. I reported this huge injustice to the support team." A customer can leave whatever review they want for whatever reason. There are only a few reasons that a review can be removed and almost everywhere it is illegal to remove a listing except for those limited exceptions. Bad reviews, justified or not, are just a cost of doing business.
