Im not sure how this has happened because I always send orders with tracking information, and I have the copies of the email to prove it.
This issue is going to make me lose my Star Seller status—anyone experiencing something similar?
Never had that happen because I always use Etsy labels.
@CasaNisia: Are you basing this on the CSV file on your Star Seller page to confirm which order Etsy thinks has something wrong with it. In particular make sure that *Had processing time?* = yes, *Ship by* has a date, *Tracking/label date* has a date, and *Shipped on time?* = yes. Remember that Star Seller dates / times are in UTC not your time zone.
"I have the copies of the email to prove it" Only what is entered on the order matters. What happens if you click on the tracking number link on the actual order? If it opens the courier's tracking page and shows the scan history then you have proof that the tracking information was entered correctly.
If that does not work and if the shipping company is supported by Etsy make sure that the shipped date, tracking number and shipping company show correctly on the actual order. Etsy relies on a third party vendor for tracking (and tracking number validation) and uses the data on the order. Does the actual order show as at least "in transit"? Has the package been scanned? Sometimes a tracking number cannot be validated until after the first scan is publicly available.
An unsupported shipping company or invalid / unverified tracking number equals shipped without tracking.
As an aside, you probably should be more concerned about your shop getting closed down than about Star Seller. Your About section says "All of the items in this shop are ethically sourced and purchased at the price the artisan sets, strictly no haggling. Everything in this shop is made by talented Mexican hands in Mexico and hand picked by me." which makes it sound like you are reselling other people's handmade items which is forbidden on Etsy. Have you read what Etsy considers handmade https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024112614-What-Can-I-Sell-on-Etsy?segment=selling#h_1a7d7... and their feelings about reselling handmade items? Etsy has been on a mission recently to shut down shops that do not follow Etsy rules.
Talked to support and it’s apparently a glitch by USPS failing to properly scan.
Also, my shop is commissioned work with my designs so it falls within the guidelines—but thanks for your concern.
@CasaNisia: "... commissioned work with my designs ..." If I may suggest, then you should proudly emphasize that they are your designs in the About section and the listings themselves.
That would go against the core mission of my store which is to highlight the makers and their cultures, but thank you for the suggestion! Happy Sunday!
Email? Only the tracking number in the order counts. Did you add the tracking number the same day you shipped if not using Etsy labels or Pirateship? Entering the tracking number must be done the same day you ship.
