Hello! I am a new seller on Etsy and for some reason am getting the "sorry, this item is unavailable in your region." while checking on my listing from the same region I am having it shipped and sold from. A couple friends I sent the link to said the same thing. Weirdly, I am not getting the issue when checking the listing on the Etsy iOS app.
I have seen many other posts about this topic but seemingly all around around plants or errors with search terms related to plants. I have none on my listing as it is a sweatshirt meant to celebrate a racing event coming up.
Perhaps there's something I'm missing but I can't find a solid solution anywhere. I also apologize as this error has indeed been posted about but, again, the errors have uniformly seemed to be specifically about plant sales and genuine issues where someone is indeed selling internationally - and I am not. I'm stumped.
Thanks so much in advance for any assistance you might be able to provide!
I think I found the problem with my listings while reading through other threads. One seller was listing nude Barbie dolls. That was flagged by the bots because of the nudity. The bots may be blocking anything that is remotely "risqué". My 4 listings that were blocked are acupuncture posters that use nude illustrations to show the point locations. The illustrations I use are smooth like a ken doll. They should not be blocked.

@APrints clearly the 'prudebots' think that Ken needs underpants!! How could you not have known that? (wink)
Other sellers have changed up their thumbnail images, and that helped. Maybe adding a maple leaf to cover up the naughty bits on the thumbnail image will help. My medical poster that shows an anatomically correct male has not been flagged yet.
@APrints I know it makes no sense at all, but anything is worth a try, at least until they train the bots better.
I hope this gets resolved for you!
I know that this very likely was not why my particular listing wasn't coming up at least.
Mostly based on the responses to my question, it looks like many folks are having the same issue but all with significantly varied product types.
Perhaps it's a more universal bug - and I can say for what it's worth that mine seem to have all been restored (fingers crossed it stays that way!)
I changed the thumbnail images on all of my affected items. Immediately they all are showing now.
This is the response from Etsy on another thread about this issue, or "error" as they called it in the email they sent me.
Thank you all for your reports.
We recently identified an issue where some shops saw their listings removed from view. Since you wrote to us, we’ve been able to identify and resolve this issue. The impacted listings should be visible in your shop again, but please reach out to Etsy Support if you need any further assistance. We sincerely apologise for this issue.
