Hi everyone, I'm a new seller on etsy, and I just uploaded my items. There are only 4 of them, and each one was priced at 30CHF. But when I want to see an overview of my shop, price is shown at 36CHF.
After that I asked a friend, and he said it keeps changing between 30 and 36. On my apps (etsy, and etsy seller) I still see 30chf, but on the website it's still 36.
I tried to see if I did something wrong but couldn't find anything.
Do you have any idea ??
depends where you are viewing from/where you shop is setup
VAT is added to EU buyers when buying from outside the EU, and UK buyers when buying from outside the UK.
This is a change that happened July 2021, and Jan 2021 for the above.
VAT?
Could be I thought about it but also read somewhere that it was included in the price set by the seller.. (maybe it changed since and VAT is now added to the price)
Weird that it keeps changing though. If it's just that I'm sorry I bothered everyone with this I was a little lost as a beginner there is much to know !
Thank you for your help !

Oh ok thank you, I didn't know that.
Shop is set up in Switzerland and viewing from Switzerland as well, but maybe it's a browser problem.
Thank you again !
Did you figure out a solution? We are having the same issue in our shop. prices keep changing by a few cents. no matter how many times we correct it. it's not a tax issue but seems to be more like a glitch?
My shop is set to the UK and anyone who views it from the UK is also seeing a higher price than what I listed.. Any ideas why it would be doing this?
@SimplySelim Because you're selling an instant digital download and etsy adds VAT

Maybe it is the fluctuation in exchange rates, which change daily.
Hi,
Is there a way i can set my prices to even numbers? i set up my pricing lets say for 5.50£ but the website will be showing 6.21£. why other digital product sellers dont seems to have this problem?
thank you for helping

No
Etsy is required to add VAT on to your prices, which varies by % based on country.
5.50 + 20% VAT = 6.60.
For the price to show as 6.21 including 20% VAT it would have to be listed at 5.175 which isn't possible.
One of your listings is showing 6.10 vat included, meaning it's listed at 5.08.
