Getting 5 stars reviews

Due to a technical problem on Etsy platform my products have been arrived but my clients want to put the reviews and the system would not allow them. BECAUSE THEY STILL LIST THE PRODUCTS AS IN TRANSIT although they were delivered. These habe been going on for months.

At the same time I am always receiving publicity from Etsy telling me how to achieve the star seller. How about correcting this issue and I will get there for sure.

But it should be resolved. It is preverse because meanwhile while the clients can not put a review, Etsy pressure us to work more and more to get reviews for the star seller program. It is unethical.

@mima26 Sadly, I don't think 'ethical' even exists in Etsy's dictionary.

The review window opens on the expected date of delivery no matter what the tracking says.

No, it does not. The clients have been sending me screen shots and it is not that way. In fact the products are received and in the right dates; they want to put a review and the system tells the product is still in transit. Sometimes it is like that for ages and they of course give up on waiting. Meanwhile Etsy wants us to work more towards the reviews for star seller program when they can not put the reviews when they should. It a preserve system.

The problem is that the review does not open when it should. As I state the clients received the products. They want to put a review. They can't; it says the product is in transit (as it did not arrived when it did.) They have been sending me screen shots so I can see the evidence.

Menawhile Etsy want us to work more and more to get reviews for star seller program. It is preverse.

There was a Review I wanted to leave not too long ago.  But I hadn't received the item yet.  Etsy did send me the Review Reminder however.  The item did come in a timely manner though.

So, I do not understand. It must be with the system and how they program it with shipping times or not. It is not working properly, that is for sure. Because they receive the items and it is marked as in transit.

Does the buyer(s) have an etsy account?

That I do not know. But if you buy an item on Etsy, usually you may leave a review, with or without having an Etsy account.

You can leave a review only if you have account here , the guests can not do it .

And even if you have some account here you can leave review only when review window will open .

And the time when it opens depend on estimated delivery time

I bought from a new shop a while ago and they put the processing time too far out by mistake. They shipped with tracking. It arrived but still shows in transit. When I try to leave a review it tells me I can’t until the processing time is up.

Exactly! And then it never marks as 'up' or appears very late by default and you can not put it anymore. That is exactly what is happening with my clients too.

So it is a problem with the platform. And the shop will never the review in these situations. They have to fix it!

Customers often contact me saying they can leave a review, it because I have a long shipping time set on my overseas orders, unless they buy tracked postage they have to wait until the last expected delivery date. It’s a bit of a pain and I’m sure I lose both orders and reviews. But it means that if the order hasn’t arrived by the estimated date I know that I can refund or replace and put a claim in with Royal Mail to get my money back. It also means that if there are any issues with the order I can usually sort it out before a review is left.

Sorry, off topic...I was curious about your shop so I checked it out, and oh my goodness it’s amazing! My daughter has a wooden doll house with some miniatures we got from the craft store but only very few things. I have been looking to expand her dollhouse accessories for her bday in October!I will now comb happily through your shop for just the right thing. Thanks for posting!

I do not like this system. I have 3 that don't let me do a review also. I also think it upsets buyers for a digital shop because it asks for a review before anyone can even use the files. I got 2 4 stars because the customer was upset of this feature. Out of 634 reviews  (99% are 5 stars) and now 2 Four Stars because this feature. Please Etsy take this feature down.

Yes, something is wrong! And it got worse when these 'start seller' program started. And they made the reviews relevant there when their system is not even working full well towards it.

Have the items been in tranbsit?  Are you able to track the item?  If so then the carrier is not completing the job where they are supposed to mark the item as delivered.   

This does delay opening.

Are your buyers seeing a date when it will open?  If so then it should open.  

If not then contact Etsy and ask about it.

I've always experienced the review window opening even with out tracking after a certain date.

The formula is processing time plus 4 days domest, 10 days international and 2 days to have the item in hand.

On the site it is impossible for me to contact Etsy now. The shop is in Portugal and Etsy help are just articles now and none address this issue. 

Before i was able even to call them or ask for them to call but they finish with that too. Cut on people probably.

Yes my items to be reviewed have been tracked and delivered. Still cannot do a review.

It has happened again, a customer gave me a 4 star and they didn't even use them yet. He states that Etsy is making him do the review straight away and it irritated him so he took it out on me. Etsy please stop with this making people do reviews.
