Hi! I’m a seller with 26k sales. There is a bug / glitch going on right now with etsy's algorithm for the “estimated arrival” filter. My items are all showing “arrives by the 23rd” bc I am specifically paying for free priority mail. However, when you filter for “arrives by the 24th” my items disappear from search. You guys had a similar glitch last year. And I personally know other Etsy sellers this is effecting as well. This glitch has to be costing, not only a lot of sellers, but costing Etsy, a ton of money bc it’s not showing all the items that will actually arrive before Christmas, only a small portion of them. Please someone look into this ASAP.
@ChrysalisStudios: Did Etsy Support or the Help Pages send you here? This is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope. Although Etsy does sometimes read and reply to posts here, it is the weekend ...
You may want to try reporting it directly to Etsy via chat.
Hi there! I have contacted etsy every way possible, through the help desk and through every form of social media. They do not respond and/or send an automated message. I was just trying every avenue possible to hopefully get someone's attention.. I realize this is the least likely way but nothing else is working. They make it pretty impossible to speak with an actual human.
You will need to contact Etsy about this.
Etsy is not here in the tech forum. Peer to peer only.
I seldom use that aspect of the filter. I know it's been an on and off issue for some.
It does work though as there are sellers listed for the 24th that have a date of the 23rd or earlierfor arrival. So this issue may not affect everyone.
Yes, I can see it is not effecting everyone. Strangely enough its mostly smaller shops with not many sales showing up with delivery by the 24th. I have contacted a few of the smaller sellers who are showing delivery by the 24th and they are not offering priority and they do not know why their items are showing delivery by the 24th. They said they are just shipping normally with standard mail and are confused. Its mostly people who are confused about shipping in general. So not only is etsy not showing people who are actually delivering in time for Christmas with priority, they are advertising people who are confused about shipping and who are not actually shipping in time for christmas. Which is only going to tarnish etsy's reputation but having people order from people who will not deliver in time. Its SUPER bizarre. I have contacted etsy every way possible. They do not respond and/or send an automated message. I was just trying every avenue possible to hopefully get someone's attention. I realize this is the least likely way but nothing else is working
this is the best place to post it.
etsy checks the technical issues of the forum.
