Frustrated with Etsy Search Visibility suggestion on Dashboard

So... one of the latest adds to our shops is the "etsy search visibility" tab.... and I am SO weary of seeing it EVERY day with a number in a big red circle

- Right now it says I have 328 listings with title that could use a "refresh" (including a colon... lol). I may consider some of the suggestions in my copious free time (as I deal with whatever it is etsy thinks they're doing with item images... along with adding alt-txt to all of my images).

- I have one listing for buyers choice of any one of 9 items... but the etsy AI thinks it's a collage and wants me to change it. 

- Finally THIS!!   All of my listings are buttons... they're all in the same category on etsy.... BUTTONS.  The etsy AI wants me to pick a better category for three of the listing. So... I have 3 listings for buttons, that belong in the buttons category which is where they are... but etsy wants me to find a better category for them. Like what???    WHY these 3???   They're categorized just like ALL of the other 438 listings for buttons.  There is no other choice.

So OK... I know there's no solution, really, for any of these. But it would be nice if etsy would give me something to indicate I want to IGNORE the visibility issues being mentioned.   I just needed to rant and vent my frustrations a little....

I get your frustration! It appears Etsy has unleashed its untrained bots especially on the craft supply category, and is applying weird stuff with an uneven hand. Some of us have had our handmade craft supplies changed by the bots to handpicked, making it look like we're resellers. It's not seen the same way by everyone - just randomly, and Etsy has told us that there is nothing they can do to fix it. Perhaps they fired all the coders and engineers and now just employ brainless bots.

They made us go through all our listings and provide more "core" details, and then they just arbitrarily go in and change those or randomly  grab a few of our listings and tell us we did it wrong.

I knew that the introduction of so many sub-categories was going to be a problem, as Etsy couldn't even handle the 3 original ones - handmade, supplies, vintage. I don't understand why they made things so complicated.

I couldn't agree more. Lately it feels like every change etsy makes... every "improvement"... just increases the amount of time anything takes. I can list at least 5 items on eBay in the same amount of time it takes for 1 listing on etsy. NO tags, NO alt-text, description is always shown in it's entirety... and while the title is limited to 80 characters it's workable. Listings are simple and straightforward. Everything here just seems to be increasingly complicated, time-consuming and "click-worthy".

And today it's all making me very cranky...

Ha! I suspect the red circle is here to stay. The good news is we're only a couple miles away from a very nice winery... and a nice merlot does help to dull the red circle a bit...  LOL

So far etsy tells me THREE of my button listings that are in the BUTTONS category
"... could be in a more specific category so they're easier to find in searches". 
Can't get more specific than Buttons. Maybe etsy wants me to put them in one of the jewelry categories since they're shank buttons and could easily be seen by an AI as a brooch?  That's all I got...

OMG!!!   Right now the red circle is GONE. If I click on "etsy search visibility" the same stuff is there... 3 listings in buttons that should be in buttons... a choice listing that looks like a collage... and 300+ listings etsy presumably wants me to shorten titles on.   BUT... the red circle is gone! 

I think the AI is just toying with me...

@SewlyButtons  Same here, I clicked my Search Visibility, and now there are no issues (all checkmarks). But I promise you, if I Renew another listing, or maybe even make edits, boom...I will get the Red Dot and the Visibility Issue of Shipping over $6.00.

This is absolutely infuriating! Etsy "improved" several of my listing titles by removing important keywords. There should be a way to disable this AI slop!

I'm with you! I'm tired if seeing that big red number Everytime I publish a product or just log in to Etsy.  Things is, I'm already adjusting my new listings with the clearer shorter titles so why tell me to do it again!? I also updated about 150 of my older, not selling listings with their suggestions, but evidently they think I'm going to change products that are selling. LOL (Not going to happen Etsy)

PLEASE, Etsy, for all that us holy, TURN OFF the "suggestions"!

I went through and changed my listing titles as they suggested.  Took about 2 minutes to update 250+ listings.  BIG MISTAKE!  I refer to titles along with picture on the package slip to fill orders.  The fabric I sell in bundles has a number associated with it.  ALL GONE!  Now I get an order and have no idea which bundle number it is so I look through my inventory to locate it by picture.

Wish there was a button to press and REVERSE all the "Title Suggestions".  It's going to take me hours to go through all these listings and manually change them back.
