Can't Change Coupon Code Once Auto-Applied

I have had several customers now report that they are trying to use a 20% coupon code that I sent them with their order. However, when they go to their cart, there is already a 10% coupon code automatically applied that they can't remove in order to add the large discount code. Is this a bug with Etsy? Has anyone found a work around for this?

Can you just set a custom code for them. My understanding you can multiply coupons.

I just run into the same problem. Tried to give the customer a 25% coupon code because she would like to buy multiple items from my shop. Although, she cannot override my 5% abandoned cart coupon. So a custom code doesn't help.
