Forgot password help

Helppppp.  My computer updated and deleted all my stored passwords.  I can’t remember my Etsy password. So I did the “forgot my password” and it said it sent a link to my email. But it hasn’t.  I’ve checked spam.  I added the email to my contacts so it would go to my inbox.  Nothing.  I’ve done it repeatedly. From different browsers.  Nothing.  I sent a help request through Etsy and after verifying it was me, they said they sent me an email with a link to reset my password.  This isn’t working. I’m not receiving any emails.  Is this a technical issue? I am getting emails from my support ticket. But not from the automated forgot my password thing.   I’m still logged in on my phone. But I need to get on the computer.  And it takes a very long time to get replies. The app doesn’t have the chat feature.   I don’t know what to do.

@shopCarolinaMade: Since you are logged into the app on your phone, can't you find the password in your phone's app password manager?

The app does not have account information options to change password on it.  You have to be logged into the browser.  My phone’s browser isn’t logged in.

Look in your phone settings under passwords. It might be stored there for the app even if you can’t access or change through the app.

Or maybe you can restore your computer to a prior update? I did that once because I lost a login to something else and it did work.

I'm not sure from your post if your passwords were being managed through a browser on your computer, eg Chrome or Firefox? If so it is possible you can recover them. Search online for 'Chrome lost passwords after update' (replace Chrome with your browser name if it's another one).

If you were using Chrome and were signed into your Google account, then the passwords may have been synced and accessible through your Google account online.

Yes - I use google chrome on my laptop and phone and they are synced; any passwords saved on my laptop browser are accessible on the mobile browser and vice versa.

Hi Everyone! Thank you for everyone's feedback.  Etsy ultimately told me that they confirmed the links were being sent even though they were never coming through to me. They said I should either contact yahoo (my email provider) or I could change my email address.  I tried everything to get my passwords restored on my computer.  I ended up checking a laptop my husband uses at his fitness gym and I had previously logged in on it. I was able to get on and change my password through there.  Holy moly, this was a nightmare!  Please learn from me lol  Never forget your password. ahhhhhhh
