Forced vacation

So I have seen several posts with very similar issues to mine, but there are a few different problems that I am having. I only recently opened a shop and currently only have four listings, which are made and sold through Printify, not my personal products. After a couple of weeks, I received my first order and made sure that everything went through and that the order was sent to Printify and being made and delivered which it was.

I did see that because of the fact that it was an international order, the estimated delivery time was about 14 days, and contacted my customer to let them know there might be a delay. According to the tracking I have available, the product was actually delivered early, and all payments were processed correctly, but now I'm seeing the forced vacation message saying that it is so I can catch up on my orders, even though it was already fulfilled. Another strange thing is, I never received an e-mail or any other notification at all, and now can't find any way to reach customer service or get any kind of assistance to repeal the vacation.

I tried a couple of the solutions posted on similar posts, but they have not worked. Does anyone know if there may be an issue with me going through Printify, or how I can resolve this?

Re: Forced vacation

You most likely have to verify you financial or tax details, or verify your ID.

Check your spam folder for an email from Etsy.

Re: Forced vacation

I assume you have gone through the Help Center and requested help from Customer Service?

Re: Forced vacation

It's probably because your ID needs verifying however you may also want to check whether you can sell designs based on characters which were created by someone else or whether you need permission.  Did you draw the designs yourself?

Re: Forced vacation

Sounds like ID or tax information but it could also be that you have no shop policies set up for an international order.  Have no about page or location.

Etsy sends emails and many times they can end up in the junk folder.

Re: Forced vacation

Thank you to everybody who has responded to try and help me thus far. I'm going to try to respond to all of the suggestions, because most of them I have already tried. 1. I am positive I never received ANY email regarding the vacation, I manually checked through each possible inbox in my email, including spam and junk mail and searched for anything mentioning etsy or vacation as well. 2. I tried to reach customer service, but no matter what I did or what help menue or "contact us" link I want through, it only ever took me through an endless loop of the standard Q&A trouble shooting menu, and never gave me an option to reach an actual person or even help bot. 3. I have certainly confirmed my ID, twice already in fact, supplied my SSN or any other requested information, and have had no other prompt or request in my emails or otherwise to provide anything else. It is true that the product had an image from a Manwhua (Korean comic book) but I have seen other various products with fictional characters from various places, and also stated that it was said character and the series it is from and never claimed it as my own. Did I somehow make a mistake somewhere? Because I am at a total loss.

Re: Forced vacation

@NoveltyMischief if the character wasn't created by you, using it without licensing permission is infringement. It doesn't matter if others are doing it, it's theft and they will be caught. Stating that it is that character and you don't claim it is not protection - it's really an admission of guilt because you know it's not yours.

Re: Forced vacation

You'll need to start here, answer a few screening questions, scroll and look for "I still need help" to hopefully get some contact options.  Good luck!

Re: Forced vacation

This is the route I went yesterday evening. It took me to a page to request a call back. Etsy called me back in under a minute. Talked to a real live human- it was great.

"Did I make a mistake somewhere?"

Yes.  Refer to your explanation of the item.

Check with Printify.

Re: Forced vacation

Sometimes POD companies such as Printify will not fulfill orders that could be trademark infringement. But if that's the case here, it seems odd that the order would show as delivered.
