Forced vacation mode for identity verification.

My shop was automatically placed in forced vacation mode as soon as I started Etsy Payments. I submitted the required documents, but they were incorrect. Now, I have prepared the correct documents and am ready to upload them, but there is no option to do so. I now have to wait until Etsy sends me a message requesting a re-submission.

The processing time is stated to be 48 hours, but it has already been 8 days, and even if I manage to submit the new documents, I have no idea how much longer I will have to wait.

I am not a new seller—I have been running my shop for over five years. The ability to re-upload my identity verification files or receive a prompt to re-upload them needs to be provided as soon as possible.

This situation does not seem to apply to all sellers. Some sellers were approved immediately without identity verification and are still operating normally, while others had their verification processed within just a few days. There is no clear timeframe, no way to fix this issue myself, and sellers are simply left waiting indefinitely. The processing time is unreasonably long.

I can only hope that Etsy thoroughly reviews this identity verification process. The correct approach should be to notify sellers about verification requirements in advance and only place shops in vacation mode if issues arise during the verification process. Otherwise, as Etsy states, all processing should be completed within 48 hours.

This situation is not beneficial to sellers, buyers, or Etsy as a platform. If anyone knows how to re-upload identity verification documents, please reach out. Some sellers have reported that an upload button appeared for them, but in my case, there is no option to upload new documents. This is extremely frustrating.
