We received notification a few weeks ago that our shop was put on forced vacation mode while they verified our identity. I checked all of the information we used to open the shop, and our DL and it was correct. Since then we’ve received two emails saying the information doesn’t match, but it does. We’ve replied to those emails begging for help and never get a reply. Our shop had $700 in pending revenue, and we need that money to pay vendors. We’ve lost so much potential income bc our products are in high demand right now. I don’t know what to do. Begging for help!! If they keep refusing our verification will we lose all that money? We had a solid 5 star rating.
We are in a very similar boat right now and not sure what is happening. None of this is making sense on our end.
@FemMercantile , @Troyohouse Many sellers are experiencing the same issue.
Has anyone found a solution?
If you know your shop is suspended because of the verification process, why did you mention in your replies to reviews that it was closed due to fraud reports?
When this first happened, we received no notification from Etsy why our shop was suspended. On the day that they suspended our shop, we also had our META accounts suspended because multiple individuals had targeted us and reported our account for fraud. This happened within hours of our Etsy shop being suspended. At the same time we also began receiving notifications that our passwords on meta and TikTok were trying to be changed. Like I mentioned, this all transpired within 4 hours. We assumed it was all connected and until this weekend had no idea it wasn’t. All of our identity information is correct so we had no reason to believe otherwise
.
We also had these individuals targeting customers who had commented on our social media posts with harassing comments. We had no idea they weren’t connected.
@FemMercantile Ah, that makes sense then. Sorry that all that cr*p happened to you tho. I can see why your bracelets are popular!
As to not getting your problem resolved, know that many sellers are in the same boat as you. Scroll thru the forums to see how many are reporting this problem. Scrolling just the past week or two is enough to give you an idea. The ''team'' handling these verifications is probably swamped and so far behind.
