Forced Vacation Mode

My shop was forced into vacation mode today! I found another seller on this forum who had the same thing happen to her yesterday.

Why in the world would Etsy put my shop on vacation mode in the middle of the Christmas season? This stops all sales and makes my items inaccessible to buyers. I was just starting to get a few sales for the season, and there is no policy reason for this action. My shop is just about one year old, and I've never had any problems with Etsy ... until now.

I wonder how many shops are experiencing this. Since Etsy has eliminated most if not all ways to communicate directly to find out what's going on, this is very disturbing. Is this happening to anyone else?

Re: Forced Vacation Mode

There are so many shops being put on vacation mode. There was a post where Etsy is working to fix it.

Re: Forced Vacation Mode

OP, if you have Chat on your Payment Account page, open it and ask why you are on vacation.

If you have had more orders than normal, that can make Etsy nervous you will fail to send the merchandise to buyers. If you have failed to use tracking, then pay for tracking.

Re: Forced Vacation Mode

I have the same problem. My shop was put on vacation mode today. I only have one open order which was placed yesterday. So weird.

Re: Forced Vacation Mode

That happened to me yesterday, right after I put a tracking number on my shipped item.  took me forever to contact Etsy.  My shop only gave me a "email us, 1-2 day reply back" ugh!  Luckily I have a second shop where I could at least use a "chat with our bot" (lol, i very much dislike bot chat), the bot did understand me, WOW, that is a new one.  Transferred me to a real chat employee, who escalated my concerns, I also emailed Etsy contact, Then gave up and went to bed with a headache.  Woke up this morning and shop back up.

The Biggest Disappointments is Etsy (1) took away the "call back option", and all options are not in each of my shops.  (2) No personal attention to sellers or buyers. (3) with this issue no email of reply at all, however I did get a response from an Etsy moderator in the Forum (1 yay).

I hope they have fixed this permanently

Re: Forced Vacation Mode

Our shop has also been paused. Have you been contacted by Etsy regarding this issue?

Re: Forced Vacation Mode

My business was paused on 12/11. Etsy finally paid a balance that was due to me a few days ago but my account is still in a forced vacation mode for no reason. No one from Etsy has responded to my requests or restored my account. I will now be going on travel until the 1st of the year.
